- LCD is talking about liquid crystals, and there are two kinds of back light. They are cathode ray CCFL and led LED, and the two are LCD liquid crystalThese two methods do not have any good or bad in specification, and the effect of imaging is not bigWhen the liquid crystal came out, it was basically CCFL backlight, so I didn't mention it. It was called LCD directlySince LED came out later, it gave a more advanced impression, and it made the screen thinner, which CCFL could not do
- Q:HiMy LCD monitor is 5 years old and goes on and off. So it would be normal then flashes the black screen then goes back to normal. It would turn black after 5 secs.
- Your lcd is having trouble with what are called display guns and or capacitor that also has a Resitor that controlls the direct current to both your question is short with no detail so i can only give you my edgucated guess . I hope this helps After five years though its probly best you invest in a new one. From experience lcd, plasma do not hve a long life. Their not like the old tubes! - Q:Aren't LED monitors better than LCD monitors? I think of LED as having really clear picture quality. I also think of them as having these really high dynamic contrast ratios. Millions to one dynamic contrast ratio. Isn't that why they have so clear picture quality? Some opinion from somewhere thinks that an LCD monitor for $300 is better than an LED monitor for $300. Aren't LED monitors and LED tvs better than just LCD?

- Acer is an awesome form. I in no way had a situation out of them. of path they are synthetic so as that they are no longer likely to be appropriate no count what form you get yet numerous pc companies like dell and hp use Acer and then in basic terms positioned their call on them.
- Q:99% of all stand alone LCD monitors cause me to get motion sick. This does not happen using 99% of laptop screens. I have had one that did it though. We bought a LED 19 TV yesterday to try as monitor and that still had me motion sick once we set it up as a monitor. As a TV it was fine. CRT also never caused this but our CRT is broken now and I have to find something we all can live with here. There has to be a different way they are light or the amount of lighting used. I have no idea. I googled this problem and it seems I'm not the only person that LCD monitors make sea sick. My kids are starting to hate me since now we have to go back to best buy and try another LCD monitor. Matte finish doesn't seem to help, Thanks
- It probably has something to do with the refresh rate or method. I've seen ten monitors on display in a row and some show this rolling distortion. Those were the cheaper models but I could not determinefrom the posted specs what was really the difference. I'm assuming those are also the ones that affect you. Someone at a large store like Best Buy or Staples may know why.

- dude i've got been given a samsung plasma, and that i like it on the ps3, samsung is a great style, my telephone, refrigerator, and tv are samsung and that all of them rock, and liquid crystal reveal is superb no count the size, and hdmi, will advance the reveal. 1080p isnt noticable untill you get to the extra suitable television's, yet its a competent characteristic, mines 720p and it surely seems extra suitable than any of the 1080's at sears. and blu-ray rocks with hdmi, your toataly in with that setup. happy gaming!

- LCD is flatscreen and the monitor is not glass. If u touch the screen hard you see rainbow. the older bulky ones (forgot there names lol) are usually big, and have a glass on them (they can be flatscreen and/or round) if u push the screen hard u see nothing

- You might not like my answer, but I don't think a TV is a great choice for computer monitors. The maximum resolution of any TV is 1920 x 1080 and some as low as 1280 x 720, while high quality 28 and 30 LCD monitors can go as high as 2560 x 1600. They will run about the same price at that size: ~$1K. Unless your screen will be 6' in front of you, the only thing you'll end up accomplishing with a screen that size is moving your head from left-to-right more often. I talked a buddy of mine out of this same decision and he's happy I did. He bought a 24 Samsung monitor (1920 x 1200) for $350 and loves it. You might even want to consider dual-screening 2 x 22 or 2 x 24 for a MUCH bigger workspace (but more head movement :-) ) Of course if you can also use your TV for more standard purposes, you might want to just get the TV.
