FAQ

One repair shop on the phone says I will need new water pump, coolant flush and *850.00. On the other hand the dealer says I may need tow other drive belts (alternator +). Second dealer says I may need a water pump! I do not wish to get stuck with extra costs! any one with experience?
my question to you is .why are you going to a dealer for repairs on a 1998 car? there are plenty of good repair facilities out there you just have to ask around. and yes i would also replace the water pump at this time and have them use a timing belt kit .
I Need a water pump, no matter its fountain pump or high stream pump. But the things or you can say the parameters i required in that pump is, 2 inch minimum outlet from where the water come out, pressure 130 or above (in PSI) runs wid a 1 or 2 Horse Powered motor not more then 2HP. And the pressure calculation is flow of the water (130 Psi) , like while water is streaming out.Any one who can sugest some water pumps which can fulfill or near or above to my requirements. thanks alot sir for you kind time.
With 100M of 'head' you're going to need a constant displacement pump, and high pressure piping. I'd consider an intermediate lift station.
What is the function of boiler feed pump, condensate pump, vacuum pump and low drain pump in operation?
The feed water pump is the water pump for the entire boiler, and the water needed by the boiler is supplied by a feed pumpThe condensate pump is supplied to the deaerator after condensing the condensate from the turbineVacuum pump water jet pump should be said, to ensure the turbine vacuum pumpThe low drain pump is the power pump of the low temperature heater
4--6 inch deep well pump head? How much per hour out of water?.
Deep well pump head is based on how much the impeller, impeller 200QJ section is 11 meters lift, 250QJ is about 17 meters, 300 meters high lift, 4 inch flow in 80 to 100 tons per hour, 6 inch flow in 150 to 200 tons per hour
trying to instal pump and I can't get fan blade off It is a1999 chev 5,7 vortex
As John M said, they make special wrenches to remove the fan clutch from the water pump. It can be a pain in the... When I did mine on my 97, I ended up removing the fan and pump as one piece from the truck, then had to weld the impeller of the water pump to the housing to keep it from spinning, then use a big wrench on the fan clutch to get it loose!!! It was way too tight. Hopefully yours isn't that tight, but maybe it gave you an idea on how to get it apart. Good luck
to see if it is pumping coolant
On some vehicles the waterpump impeller(on the backside of the waterpump) may become detached or rust away. Since you are not being vehicle specific, just taking the belt off and spinning the waterpump pulley may not show you whats wrong. A thermostat that is stuck closed can restrict circulation as well.
After the pump has the control box, but also the power distribution box, the control box and the distribution box is not the same box?
1, after the pump has the control box, do not need the distribution box.2. The control box is not the same as the distribution box.Wiring principle is as follows: from the distribution box power supply into the control box, L1, L2, L3 (usually so); from the control box to connect U, V, W to the water pump.
We lost power during the hurricane, we have well water. the power went out and we lost water also, what are the procedures to bleed and restart a goulds pumps c48a93a06 water pump?
1. you are going to need at least a couple gallons of water in a bucket to re-prime. 2. look for a plug at the top of the pump and remove it. 3. pour water into the plug opening, filling up the pump as much as you can. 4. put plug back in so at least one thread is grabbing. by doing this it will allow air to escape and won't be spraying water everywhere. it is also a good idea to keep your hand on the plug. 5. turn on electricity to pump. 6. when you start to notice pressure re-gaining tighten up the plug so it does not drip. It is also a good idea to have an outside tap on to get air out of the lines. Another thing is, it is a good idea to shut off water to toilets and washing machines before re-starting pump because small debris have a habit of clogging them up. When your pressure is back, drain your toilet and cold water line to your washing machine, flushing all the stuff out until you see nice clear water. Hope I helped and good luck.
