An O-ring that is inserted in the fitting ends of the pipe ensures a leak-proof connection. Press fitting system is the trend of pipeline industry. Q:I was cooking earlier and my smoke detectors went off. I live in an apartment complex and have three alarms (one in the hallway, and one in each bedroom). My husband had to take the one in the hall and one of the alarms in a bedroom off and unplug the alarm completely. The one in the other bedroom at that time was not going off so he left it up. If its actually pvc and not cpvc, cut out the section leaking and primer, glue, rplace. Ms lil bed rock is spot on in saying cpvc is totally diff. Different primer(usually clear) diff glue (orange). Set time for cpvc also tkes longer before H2O pressure can be applied

Q:does anybody know a great place online to buy motorcycle or moped alarms?TIA,Luke: galvanized pipe means just that it is coated with galvanize to help keep it from rusting. blk pipe has no coating inside and a blk finish outside, normally used for natural gas piping installations. wall thickness is either schedule 40, or 80. 40 is the standard 80 is a much thicker wall used for high pressure applications. the 1inch pipe and the 1inch nipples are the same wall thickness. the threads on both all taper inwards. by drilling a hole in galvanized pipe you will expose the inside wall of the hole to water,gas,oil, or what ever you are using the piping syatem for. therefore you are defeating the porpous of the galvanizd coating. hope this helped

Use a bucket under the trap when you take it off to catch any water left in the trap. Might need a pair of pliers or channel locks to loosen the screw fittings on the trap.

If so, you should know that ordinary steel pipe, the type usually used for water, is rather fragile will crack easily for it's weight. Lots of people prefer to use structural tubing which has design and alloy properties that make it better for such things. It will resist bending cracking, but you'll probably have to weld it. If you're talking about very low power and low speed and have a lot of scrap pipe and fittings to play with, then you should think about triangulation. Concentrate on making your frame look like a lot of triangles.
