Does anyone know cheap bathroom floor ideas?: Yep, carpet in the bathroom is gross. Vinyl tiles are the answer. Peel and stick if you don't mind them(I do), or ones from Home Depot that stick to themselves but not the floor. Or for really cheap, tear up the carpet and paint the floor. Sheet vinyl is good but unless you have some skill at fitting around corners and fixtures, don't try it.

Here is what I did; Take a long cup/glass and fill with about half a cup of baking soda, and fill the rest of the cup/glass with white vinegar and let it fizz over : D take a wash cloth and scrub. Repeat until you have the entire floor done. After that, simply you a wet towel to wipe up the baking soda residue off the floor. Hope it helped. NOTE: THE VINEGAR IS WHAT CLEANS THE FLOOR, THE BAKING SODA IS TO REMOVE SCUFF MARKS AND OTHER HARD SPOTS.

Q:I need to replace the floor in my shed. I'm thinking of raising the walls and replacing the floor with the walls raised.Any ideas on how to do this?: 1. Empty the shed. 2. Disconnect the walls from the floor. 3. Use a floor jack and a 4X4 to jack up one side of the shed. You will need someone to hold the 4X4 vertically with one end on the jack so that the other end can be jacked up to reach a structural part of the roof or a rafter. Jack the side up about 3 inches. 4. Place a 2X6 board under the raised side with the flat sides of the board parallel to the ground and placed so that the board extends about 3 feet beyond the shed on both sides and so that the wall will sit on the 2X6 when you finish step 5. 5. Lift the 2X6 up until it touches the underside of the shed edge. Prop the board up on other boards so that there will be about 2 inches available under the board 6. Repeat steps 3, 4, 5 on the other side of the shed. 7. Continue lifting the same two sides 3 inches at a time until you have the shed sitting on 2X6 boards and the boards on cinder blocks about 8 inches above the ground. Don't lift one side all at once because some sheds are flimsy and would collapse unless you alternate lifting the two opposite walls. 8. Replace the floor. 9. Use the floor jack and the 4X4 to take one side of the shed at a time off the boards and remove the 2X6 boards and cinder blocks. Do the lowering a couple of inches at a time alternating between the two walls that are on the boards. 10. Connect the walls to the floor. 11. Take lots of pictures before, during and after. 12. Because most places just sell a mat, not a covering like carpet but plastic carpet.: If you don't like either of those two ideas maybe you could buy a piece of vinyl mat and cut it out to match your floor. The only tough thing is getting the vinyl to not move around on the carpet/floor of your car and get in the way of brakes, accelerator, etc.

I sanded mine, and then I painted it, and when the paint was dry I put a nice rug over it. This looked real good, and lasted for about 2 years, after that I had enough money saved to install a great looking wood floor. I bought the real McCoy through my local buy and sell and paid for about 400 sq 65.00 dollars. What do you think?: put in your cabinetry first, then your floor, then your appliances. different cabinets have different footprints, which is why you put them in first. your appliance should go on top of the new floor in case you want to replace them or move them for whatever reason. since you're on such a tight budget, comparison shop for the cabinets and counter top, with the economy the way it is, you may be able to get a good deal on cabinets & counters. you may also want to remove the old cabinets yourself, and if you don't damage them, you could donate them to habitat for humanity or another charitable organization. once the cabinets are installed, measure for your flooring, for appliances check out the scratch and dent departments, you can get a good deal for something that could have a dent that no one will notice or see.
