Q:How do you level a floor, for installing lamanited floors.?
First unlike the guy said you don't have a subfloor problem these are just inconsistancies that comes with any thing you buy especially in lumber. Floor layers use a stuff called floor leveler it is easy to mix and easy to put down all you need is a flat troweland put a coat on the floor. It kind of works like a concrete trowel. Just put the stuff on the floor and let it dry then your best be is to put down some kind of underlayment. The profesinals will tell you a hard wood underlayment, like oak or white birch etc... I have yet to understand why they do that but most places won't warrenty the floor without the stuff. After you get that down all you have to do is lay your vinyl and you are done.
Q:Floor seam solution: 1, the floor paint a small crack, serious, resulting in film stripping
How to say will do, as long as you put the illustration just fine. I am usually filled with dots.
Q:Living room and bedroom floor with a good solid wood or better flooring?
Of course it is solid wood
Q:ripping up tile floors?
You can lay your wood floor over the vinyl tile, it makes a great moisture barrier. If you have underlayment that needs to come out before you lay your floor, cut it into manageable sections and pry it up with the tile on it. ( sometimes you need to take up the underlayment so all your floors match up.) There is usually underlayment between the tile and the sub-floor.
Q:How do I remove floor polish residue from my laminate floors?
Laminate flooring is supposed to be very easy to care for, only slightly damp mop needed for spills, and regular dusting for dirt. You shouldn't use soap since it dulls the surface. Laminate floors do scratch, so the heavy traffic areas are probably just affected by scratches. Since you used that product, I would suggest trying some non abrasive cleaners... do some spot checks to make sure it works, and doesn't give an effect you don't like before doing the whole floor. Maybe if the surface seems greasy, you could try some mineral spirits?
Q:Solid wood composite floor with enhanced floor than, which is good?
Solid wood flooring to better point but to pay attention to both the formaldehyde content and free formaldehyde emission is up to standard
Q:How do I get my floors to shine?
have learned the more product you use the worse they are...a wet clean cloth and a dry cloth works the best. some mops are the worse to use, ...like the swifter sweeper some prefer a bona product...but I would not waste a lot of money on an apartment floor..a wet cloth and a dry cloth are cheap.. I would never use ammonia to clean anything if you have cats in the house...also I don't think a degreaser is a good idea.. I do agree with the suggestion about shoes in the house and on the floor plus a good door mat..although if you take off the shoes then it should be cleaner. the sealant may be a situation but it sounds like the floors are fairly new try the wet and dry cloth...it's great exercise *(*
Q:what is a floating floor?
floating floor is one that sits a top existing floor and is not attached to the current floor example is a pergo floor
Q:What is the floor in the office?
Office is best to strengthen the composite floor, because a lot of staff, strengthen the surface wear resistance is good, usually very clean! Is there any heating in your office? If not, then you can install Shang Lange warm core floor, heating decoration into one!
Q:Do I really need to use transitions when installing laminate flooring?
Yes you must for a couple of reasons. One is to make a clean transition to another surface or area. It allows the floor to expand and contract normally. Another is with that much laminate it will expand/contract a lot and they are needed every 20/25 ft as per your particular laminate calls for. If you don t , the whole floor can expand enough and actually lift off the floor. Also not putting in the proper transition strips may very well void warranties on the product. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar, I ve attended several installation seminars as well as installed a couple 100,000 s/f. GL
