Q: My wife and I are buying our first home. The current owner has new carpet in the living room, stairs and upstairs hall way. We are not going to have the funds to change the ruugs right away so we will need to paint around them. Currently the walls are white and we do not really care for plain colors, but want to stay somewhat conservative.The furniture we are chosing is probably going to be lighter fabric. Q: Me and some friends were wrestling around and I got a rug burn...its pretty red...anyone know the best way to heal it and about how long it'll take? Thx in advance :D: Rug burn is chafing , so neosporinr is perfect. Just wash with soapy water and let it dry first. It will clear up fast if it's just red. If its bleeding or oprn will take longer. Aloe, from a plant will work too.

Q: I am making my own rug with a random pattern. One of the strands broke on the canvas and i have a large area i can't work. How do I repair this? Any help or suggestions (other than start over) would be appreciated!: I used to make my own hooked rugs...just cut a patch of canvas the approx. size of that damaged area and incorporate the patch into the rest of your wool pattern...you could thread some thread first so it will stay in place as you are hooking the rug...Since it's a random pattern it will not be noticed (only from underneath) Right?

As soon as it is middle of spring comnig into summer I strip him and leave him unrugged. in saying this he is a hardy horse and he was unrugged for years before I owned him so he doesnt really need to be rugged, I just feel bad in the middle of winter having him rugless.

I have one of these rugs in front of my fridge, and the vinyl flooring underneath is also yellow. I found this from Armstrong Flooring: Place a walk-off mat at outside entrances to reduce the amount of dirt brought into your home. We do not recommend the use of rubber- or latex-backed mats because the chemical (antioxidant) used to keep the backing from becoming brittle can permanently stain your floor. We suggest a nonstaining vinyl-backed mat or a woven rug that is colorfast. Most of these products are identifled colorfast by the manufacturer.
