- Q: There are so many method to remove the rug but i wanna the best method...I have tried many method so please help me out...
- Dusting is the one method to remove your rug is then dusted thoroughly from both sides with our special rug duster. This step is very important because it’s easier to remove the majority of the soil while the rug is dry...They must be cleaned on a regular basis before they reach the point of total saturation...We have so many method and we can select our method from many site based on our comfort ability...
- Q: ok my parents are saying that they want to have wood floor in both of the living room also in the hall ways and they also want rugs in the bedroomwhat do u think
- Sounds like a good idea. I have wood flooring in my lounge and a large coffee table in the middle which is the same colour. Between them I have a big square rug which looks great :-) I'd say get the wood flooring first and then look at rugs you might want to get after that way if they don't look good together you can still return them to the store for a refund, hope this helps :-)
- Q: Okay so for the past few years I've been making latch hook rugs. They take up too much space and I was wondering if there is a way to sell these? I don't really have people to sell them to, and I was wondering how one would go about getting rid of these projects while not throwing away all your cash. I am afraid to sell them on OKorder because someone might accidentally be deceived and think that it was an unfinished latch hook kit, and be surprised to find a completely finished rug at their doorstep. Any suggestions?
- There okorder is another site where people sell completed handcrafts. If you have consignment shops in your area, they may be willing to sell the rugs for you. I have some that I've hung on the wall as art, and I have also used some as tops for chair cushions or throw pillows. Unfortunately, though, in general this is one of the class of craft projects where the unused kit often sells for more than the completed item. If selling doesn't work out, you may wish to restrict yourself to rug projects where you have a specific use or recipient in mind, or else put some of your energy into a less expensive craft like friendship bracelets, for instance. Good luck!
- Q: How much could it cost me to carpet or laminate my living room, dining room, and up the stairs?
- I think I paid like $3.25 or $3.75 sq. ft. for my high-end laminate. You can tell it's fake but is the best looking laminate I could find. It came with individual beveled planks, 3 sizes, to make it look more like hardwood. It was for my basement family room. I would have gotten hardwood, but I didn't want to pay to install a sub-floor. For resale value, I'd recommend going with real hardwood. It looks so nice and is quick to clean with a Swiffer Vac. It sells around $3 sq. ft. and up.
- Q: i am doing an equine course and one of the papers is on stabling and the question is asking to quot;explain two reasons why a horse would be rugged if it was spending the night in a stablequot; in the course book it dose not have anything on this and all the books i have read don't explain it ether. lots of help appreciated
- You rug a horse if it is cold. Show horses need short coats, the warmth of the blanket takes away the nee for a horse to grow long hair to stay warm. Also, some people do it to keep the horse clean, from laying down and from dust. Good Luck!
- Q: We moved into a new home, and until we change the carpet out, is there a temporary fix you can use to hide unsightly bleach stains on carpeting?
- My neighbor did that. She bought a box of 94 Crayola crayons and experiment with them until she found a color that matched. She then colored in the spot on the carpet. You have to redo every now and then but it worked. Next time you spill something on the carpet, try using table salt. Just pour it on, let it absorb the wet spot and most of the color will come up. Do not wipe it up just vacuum it up, while it's wet. If the stain is still there do it again. I had to do mine about 3 times but it is hardly noticeable now. My carpet is light tan and the spot was berry red. The spot now is a very, very, pale pink and gets lighter every time I clean it. There is also a cleaner call Krud be gone and Goo gone that may work.
- Q: We've only lived in our brand new home for 1.5 years, and our carpet already has light patches! The carpet is that annoying tanish color that stains way easily, and it's stock manufactured home carpet, so it's not so great to begin with. A few weeks ago, I noticed a light patch in an area that would hardly ever be stepped on, even by our dogs. I don't think I've ever had to shampoo that area, except for in the summer when we had a guy shampoo the whole house. I decided to shampoo our carpets during Xmas break, and I'd barely begun when I noticed 2 more light patches! I highly doubt it's from our carpet cleaner. We use the same stuff the carpet guy used, and we've used it dozens of times without any problems. I decided to just let our carpet be dirty rather than risk any more damage, just in case. Ever had problems like this? I read a little about carpet dyes. Any experience?
- If your home is a double wide (or larger), and you did not order it direct from the factory, then there is a good chance it sat on the dealer's lot for some time...and its possible some sunlight was allowed in thru the marriage wall. The marriage wall usually just has a layer of plastic over it for transport...some dealers leave it on while the home is on their lot, and some don't. Even a small hole in the plastic can result in a large faded area if it was facing the sun. (Some homes will sit on a dealerships lot for a year or so, before they are sold....plenty of time for the sun to cause some fading) There is also the possiblity that your cleaning chemicals did cause some fading....they all come with a warning to 'spot check' a section to see if they will cause any fading, before you are to use them all over the carpet. Since you mention dogs in the home, pet urine could also be a factor. And of course, there is always the chance that you just got a bad quality carpet to begin with. Different manufacturers use varying quality of carpet. Some are pretty good. Some are pretty cheap. A lot of the carpet being made today is synthetic...(some even use recycled plastic). Things like nail polish (or remover), or 'kool-aid' (its actually the sugar in the drink that does the damage) can actually alter the fibers chemically. Bleach dripped on the carpet will do the same, even if it is wiped up immediately. If a rag has been used to clean with bleach, or acetone (an ingredient found in most nail polish removers) is dropped on the carpet, or used when damp to wipe the carpet, it will cause the carpet to fade. If the carpet is in good shape, physically... little wear and tear, no holes, etc... then you may want to just have a professional come in to dye the carpet. Usually, this costs less than replacing the carpet, but get some quotes for replacing it too. Good Luck
- Q: I just moved into a 1st floor/basement apartment. Its currently has tile floors wich are nice but are extremely cold to walk on in the winter. I was thinking about putting carpet down until I stumbled across carpet tiles in home depot. Since im renting I dont want to damage the current ceramic tile floor, should I lay down regular carpet or use carpet tiles? I don't care about grout lines and i dont want anything glued to the floor. It doesnt need to be the best job I will more then likely do it myself. If I lay regular carpet do I need padding? Or if I use carpet tiles, what kind of barrier should I have between the current floor and the carpet to proctect the ceramic tiles?
- I'd be more inclined to just get a roll of second hand used carpet cut to the size of the room tack it down around the edges against the walls making it easy to vacuum , so as the vacuum cleaner doesn't lift the carpet as you move about while cleaning. It would be a good idea to also obtain some underlay to help retain the heat in the room, co's just plain carpet won't keep the heat in, you need something under it! (that's why they sell the stuff) Cheers!!
- Q: Have you or anyone you know had any allergy problems after getting new carpet?
- yes...so see a Dr and get some meds or go to the store and get some OTC meds..
- Q: I have really sensitive feet and need really good carpet for my floors. What do I need to look for when I go shopping for some? thanks
- Get an area rug and wear slippers, way cheaper.
