- Q: What makes a crane so strong?
- Cranes are built using a structural technique called a truss which is characterized by looking like a series of triangles connected together. That structure prevents the members from having to resist any bending loads. All of the truss members experience only tension and compression, no bending. That is an extremely efficient structure which is why they can be so strong without being monstrously heavy. Or if you prefer the short answer, engineers make the crane so strong.
- Q: Okay, like a week ago I caught a daddy long legs (a crane fly) in my room with a mug and an envelope and I just left it there, when I removed it there were loads of little black dots on the envelope, I didn't really think about it cos I figured it was the coffee that was inside the mug or something. I got rid of most of them but didn't go out of the way if you know what I mean... And now there are loads of TINY little flies in my room. Could these be baby crane flies? Or something else? And if so how the hell do I get rid of them before they get huge and start reproducing all over again?!
- go to target and get a bug zapper its 2300 volts so when they hit the wires they are dead or spray poison in your room.
- Q: I caught this crane fly in my garage but is almost the size of a dragonfly. It has a 3 inch wingspan. I saved it in a jar because I though no one would believe me. so do they really get this big or is this thing a freak?
- OMG - I saw one of those to! No one believed me, too. I should of saved mine...anyway, I don't know. Sorry.
- Q: single shard pls need awnser quick 8th grade lit test
- Crane-man is a kindly old man with a crippled and useless leg. Crane-man takes care of Tree-ear and loves him very much. Crane-man can only walk around with crutches, but he still had the upper body strength of a young man. Sadly, at the end of the story, Crane-man dies of a heart attack when he falls into the river next to the bridge and the freezing water kills him. Crane-man outlived all of his family and friends, and unable to work, he was forced to sell all of his possessions, and eventually he ran out of money and came to live under the bridge. A crane, besides standing on one leg, is also a symbol of long life, and this is how Crane-man got his name. Throughout the story, Crane-man displays his generosity and kindness towards Tree-ear, Min, Min’s wife, and other villagers. the link below provides a full synopsis of the book
- Q: carribean crane jobs?
- As okorder / When completed Trinidad will have the largest Conference Centre in the Caribbean. This is just the latest of new tall buildings the Government of TT is building in Port of Spain.
- Q: The really really tall ones you see next to skyscrapers. How do they assemble them? I thought that maybe they use another crane, but then how did they assemble that crane? Some of them are really, really tall. Try to remember what one looks like. They have long hollow necks with a top section where the driver sits that stretches long horizontally.

- Q: Could anyone tell me how they erect a construction crane. Some how they just are suddenly THERE, as If by magic. It seems as though the Boom part of the crane must be kind of JACKED up into place. That is the only way I can see them getting those GIANT concrete blocks into the back end of the boom. It doesn't seem possible otherwise. The only other thing I can thing of is the bulk of the pieces are brought in by helicoper and attached.Everything kind of makes sence except the Giant concrete blocks used as a counter weight. ALSO, if the blocks are needed to act as counterweigth to the CRANE itself..why doesn't the Crane fall over when it picks stuff up???
- How do they erect the construction cranes? Not very well according to the news of them toppling down of late. Seriously, the cranes are lifted upward one or two floors at a time as the building progresses upward - this is usually accomplished by pulling them up into place with heavy cables and powered winches.
- Q: This poor little guy has been out on my balcony where I smoke my cigarettes for two days now. One wing is badly mangled and he can't fly away, I thought to just let him work it out yesterday in hopes of him healing on his own somewhere, but today he was climbing on my leg as if asking for help and I feel horrible for him now...he's suffering, he hasn't gone far in at least 24 hours I feel I should feed him and give him water until he heals...what do crane flies even eat?? Any advise aside of killing him and putting him out of his misery would be great!!
- He'll probably die anyway. It's the way nature works.
- Q: I have tried so many times to make that crane, and i always fail. Can anyone give me a video that is really good, or instructions that are really good and have pics? Thanks in advance!
- heres one with others on the page. happy folding
