Q:i'm a internet blogger and i would like to cover national events, but i need a press pass so i can have access to these events. So i can conduct interviews, and take photos to post on my site..
For your purposes, looks like a press pass identifying you as a freelance journalist is what's needed, if so, then get one from the National Writer’s Union here:
Q:Does the press work better with cold cookie dough or room temp cookie dough? So far room temp has been hard to work with and won't come off the plastic disk easily. I'm snowed in today and planning to bake, but want to know first if the dough needs to be room temp or cold......(one spritz recipie says one thing, and a different one says another.)
I have better luck when the dough is a little cool. Too warm and it doesn't form well and your cookies spread a lot when they bake. One of the major problems is the cookie sheet. If you're using a non-stick pan, the cookies won't stick to the sheet and separate off the press. I would try alittle of the dough in the press, if they're not forming properly press it back into the bowl and put it in the fridge for alittle while. We're baking our cookies this morning also. Good luck!
Q:Do you know about Press TV?
Press TV is an English language international television news channel which is funded by the Iranian government, based in Tehran and broadcasts in English on a round-the-clock schedule. www.presstv.ir/
Q:LEFT RIB PAIN WHEN PRESSED?Hi, My question is I am facing pain sometimes when I press my left rib above stomach below heart.I smoke and I also have cool drinks like Pepsi, Coke, Sprite or 7Up on daily basis. I wanted to know whether am I suffering from Cancer or any such diseases, my age is 23 now. To add on I have never fell down or had an injury. Please help me
If the pain is only occurring when you press on it it is more likely to be either muscle or nerve in origin. Lung problems or stomach problems usually do not hurt when you press on the area. The pain also is not typical of cancer unless you feel a lump in the area that hurts too. You can try Advil or Motrin for pain or apply heat to the area see if it helps. If the pain continues, you can always have your doctor check on it.
Q:i'm 5ft8 and weights 185 and i am 17 male. when i was about 170~175 pound last time i remember doing 4~5 reps of 185 pound bench press. i regulary benched 6~8 reps of 135 pound. is it bad?and i haven't go to the gym for long time because i really don't have time to go there right now. how much weight do i need to bench at my weight? and i saw some skinny guy can bench more than me.. how can guy who is smaller than be can bench more?
Your bench press is above average for a 17 year old. Just do alot of chest, shoulder, and tricep workouts. You don't have to workout every day. Also eat plenty of protein and get adequate rest. Your bench press should increase in no time.
Q:I want to make my own herbal tinctures at home, such as echinacea and cayenne tinctures. I see presses vary in price, from around $40 to almost a thousand $. Does a $40 herb press do the job, this job being to be able to make a few quarts of tincture from one batch of herbs?
I have never heard of using a press for tinctures. I think of a press for expelling oils. Tinctures are liquid extracts using the herb and a medium like alcohol (grain alcohol or vodka), vinegar or glycerin. When I make tincture, I am usually using fresh leaves. I get enough leaves to fill the bottle. I run the leaves through the food processor and pack the bottle. Then I fill the bottle with the liquid. I use 90 proof vodka or grain alcohol with water 50/50. Vinegar I use straight. I have never tried glycerin for my homemade tinctures. I did make valerian tincture a long time ago. I used the powdered root and I forget the amount I used. You can use leaves, flowers, roots or the peppers, crush or chop and for dry ingredients fill your container halfway and then add the alcohol. I would spend my money on bottles, herbs or alcohol rather than a press. Good luck! Making a gallon would require a lot of herbs. Dry herbs would be equal to half a gallon of chopped herbs to a gallon of alcohol. Most tinctures need to age for around 6-8 weeks. Then you strain them out through a sieve and then a cheesecloth or tightly woven white towel. Then bottle. Remember, tinctures are strong medicines. Use them by drops or dilute before ingesting.
Q:Setting up a home gym, currently have a barbell and dumbell set but no bench. Will doing a floor press build significant mass until i can get a bench?
If you ever try to hold a diet you constantly uncover that several diet plans advocate that you totally steer clear of particular food groups this kind of as carbohydrates and at finish all the pounds that you misplaced (if you get to get rid of them) are coming back.
Q:I'm new at pressing my mac pigments. I recently bought a bunch of mac pigment samples. I have two of each color with eaxactly 1/4 tsp in each. I read that your supposed to press with 3/4. Is it okay to press with less than 3/4?
Hi! Yes, definitely. You don't have to have exactly 3/4 tsps for it to work. 3/4 tsp might be the measurement needed to fill an eyeshadow pan, if that's where you're pressing your pigments. But then again, it's up to you if you want to fill the pan or not. You don't actually have to be very scientific about pressing pigments. Basically, keep dropping a few drops of 91% alcohol, mix it, and once it gets to the point that it's the the mixture holds/clumps together (you don't want it to be runny, and you'd know if it's still dry). If you put too much alcohol, you shouldn't worry b/c it dries up anyway. It just makes it hard to shape and press it. That's why the key is to put a few drops of alcohol at a time. There's really no exacty # of drops to # of teaspoons of pigments. I've pressed a LOT of pigments myself, and I don't even measure how much I use. Just be sure that after pressing it (press it firmly!), leave it open to air dry :)
Q:Basically I do both in my full body workout but was wondering is there any point in doing the less press if im doing squats and deadlifts.
Deadlift Works What Muscles
Q:I just want to know if I can cause unconsciousness by pressing common carotid arteries. If it is possible (I heard it is), where should I press it, how much and how long? Is it dangerous?Than I do martial arts and our instructor says that there is a chop headed to the neck, which causes unconsciousness in a moment. Do it cause nerves, or common carotid artery? It is hard to imagine... How can it be done?P. S.: sorry for my English
Pressing on the Carotid arteries is dangerous because it can stop, or fatally slow someones pulse. As an emergency department worker, I have seen nurses and doctors push on the Carotid arteries of patients whose pulse was in the 200+, causing their pulse to drop to 100 or 90 sometimes lower. I would not recommend doing it!
