Q: So I've been getting acrylics done at a salon every 2-3 weeks for a little under a year now. Today I realized I probably spend about $400 a year on these nails ($25 every time I go) and I was wondering about getting pre-glued nails, like from a drug store to maybe save money. I get the acrylics done because I work in a resturant, and my real nails used to break or the polish would chip after one shift. So would press-on nails work as well as my salon acrylics? Or would they just fall right off? How long do they last? Can I keep putting new ones right back on, like I do with the acrylics? Is it bad (well, i guess worse) for my nails? Suggestions/tips?thank you :)
Ive just tried press on nails and I used glue, they might not last long but for someone whose tried them all and left with bad results. I'd rather have nails that can be easily applied and taken off and change them when I feel like it for less than $10 i get a nice looking mani. Def press ons!
Q: Im trying to get my press handstand any good drills? Also is there certain strength or flexibility I need?
One undemanding thank you to get the feel for them is to place your palms approximately 4 to twelve inches from and lean forward until eventually returned touches the wall ( verify your head is tucked in ) then straddle and press up. this might help get the sensation for the flow besides as enhance shoulder potential so at some point you're able to do it with out the wall.
Q: Yesterday my son's preschool teacher decided to break her contract and quit in the middle of the day. Not only that, but she just walked out and left 15 four year olds alone in the room. Thank goodness another teacher saw her leave and took over until the administrators were informed. The school is considering pressing charges. If they don't, can I? It seems to me that leaving a bunch of small children alone in a room is child endangerment or neglect or something. Needless to say, Im mad, and so is everyone at the school. I think they're going to press charges. But if they don't, I want to know my options.
That Is Unfortunate. But Dont Assume You Know The Whole Story. It Doesnt Justify What She Did. But Suppose She Has Alot Going On In Her Life, Lets Not Make It A Federal Case When No Actual Harm Was Done.
Q: Hi there,i have been using a barbell bench press for my decline press and nearly every gym session i seem to stack the weights up and up. however when i use the smith machine for flat bench press it seems that it takes me a very long time to gain more weight.Which machine will get me better results and weight gains?ThanksP.S Is there any difference between the way the two machines work the chest?(The smith machine is a machine and barbell bench press is free hand)
Always, ALWAYS go regular free weight bench press. Free weights are the most effective because the movements are not controlled...they are not as safe as machines per se, but what's a spotter for eh? I bench 185lbs (barbell) right now. If I were to use a Smith machine, I could probably do 225lbs due to the extra support. Decline bench pressing seems to be easier than incline for some reason. My favorite has and always will be the regular flat bench press, but I do understand what you mean by decline feeling easy. The standard, flat bench press is the #1 upper body exercise though.
Q: nice pressed powder makeup that looks good nice only drugstore please links please for a better idea.or high end but needs to be very good
i used to get the expensive Lancome pressed powder at Macys and then decided to try there sister line Loreal Truematch which u can buy at Walmart Target or any drugstore actually. i LOVE it and have gone through SO many powders because its hard to find my color! But this one goes on smooth and ive been using it for YEARS a new record for me on one brand! Doesnt look cakey on me. U should definitely try it :)
Q: Hi there! Okay, I'm doing a square cross stitch design, and at the moment its in an oval frame to keep it tight. But eventually when its finished I'm going to want to frame it, and when I remove the oval, there's going to be the oval crease in it. So how can I combat this? Do I just continue stitching inside the oval until I can't anymore, remove it, do the rest of the design and then iron it afterwards? In the instructions it has got how to press it, face down with the iron on medium, but I just thought I'd double check so I don't make a mess of it in the end. Thanks a lot in advance! :)
Just follow the directions that you wrote and your design will love great in the end. :)
Q: Can you get stronger by doing this, I don't have access to bench pressing.
It depends on how much weight the barbell has. If you have a lot of weight, then yes you can get a lot stronger in place of a bench press. You can do dumbbell bench pressing, which is the same as a bench press but with dumbbells.
Q: I wont to know the best way to increase my bench press i bench 175 and i am 15 and i wont to be benching 225 by July
repition like try to bench it twice instead of once and adding a lil weight over time
Q: im making the casing for my skirt and the sewing instructions say to press under 5/8 on unnotched edge and then trim to 1/4. so if i mark 5/8 am i supposed to fold up to that line and press or use the line as my fold if you know what im saying. (Btw this is Simplicity or SewSimple 1970 A)
Oh okorder /.. I keep manila file folders and 3x5 cards with common turn under amounts (1/4, 3/8, 1, 1.25) all drawn nicely on them with indelible pencil. Then I've got them handy for pressing templates. If you're doing a long, straight waistband, a pressing template about a foot long really hurries the process along.
Q: I am making a chess board out of veneer, it needs pressing but I don't own one.... Does anyone have a plan to make a cheap one?
The pressing thing may be a bit unnecessary - they were for the days of rabbit skin glues and board that might cockle. The proper thing tends to be cast iron affairs and dificult to make up someting unless you pile lots of heavy weights on a stout board. If you use a modern contact-type glue (ie not water based) and roller them down (something like one of those hard seam rollers) onto say MDF as a core you might get away without
