- If you press a DRY flower, you will get flower powder. You should have done the pressing when the flowers were alive. All you can do at this point is preserve them and put them in a dry vase.
- Q:I've decided I want to start pressing my own flowers and I recently bought a really compact, and cute notebook to keep them in. I'm not always at home so I love the idea of bringing this notebook with me when I go to school or take walks.But, I'm wondering if I can use this notebook to do the actual pressing. - Q:Every time I press out my hair it looks like feathery sh**. I do everything my mom tells me: use leave-in conditioner, divide the hair into 4 sections, press small amounts of hair at a time, curl the ends, take my time and not rush through, but it always come out looking like sh**. - Do the actual keys need to be pressed or do you just need the result of the key having been pressed? It sounds like you want to learn macro programming. That's where you can record a set of keystrokes and have it activate by pressing a certain combination of keys. Usually you have to press two keys simultaneously and then a letter and that activates it. Do a web search. Type in the name of the program you're using and follow it with macro tutorial Good luck.
- Q:So after I press my flowers in a book for about a month and take them out, how do I preserve the color?I've read so many answers but nobody seemed to have answered this. I don't expect my orchids to be vivid after pressing them but is there a way to make them fade LESS? Or do they not fade at all once they're pressed?Also, does anyone have suggestions about how to ARRANGE and CREATE something with the pressed flowers? I was thinking of arranging them on some kind of special paper type of thing and framing it because i want to mail it to someone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

- Q:I can military press 100lb dumbbells (one in each hand) with ease. I've worked really hard to get up to this point, but......100lbs dumbbells are the heaviest that my gym has, so I have to move on to the barbell. Since the dumbbells isolate both shoulders, I should technically be able to military press more with the barbell than I should with dumbbells, right? Does starting off at 205 or 215 sound like a good idea? I've only been lifting (seriously) for about 2 years, so I'm still somewhat of a noob.Thanks!
- Yeah, you can probably do as much as 245 lbs even In my experience (and this is none scientific at all) but in my experience, when I use barbells instead of dumbells for exercises like that (bench press, overhead press, bent over rows) - the amount of weight I can add to each side is almost identical to the weight of the dumbbells. So by that logic, you could add 100lbs to each side of a barbell, making the weight 245lbs HOWEVER, the form is slightly different, so I would advice to start at an even 200 and focus on perfecting the form. be careful with the changes. Watch your chin (you have to move your neck out of the way) and watch your back - you have to squeeze your glutes so your lower back doesn't arch. Also watch the positioning of your hands on the barbell as its slightly different. A narrower grip will work your shoulders primarily, but hit your triceps quite hard. A wider grip will work your shoulders and your upper chest the most.

- Q:I just started bench pressing twice a week. I want to build muscle on my chest. I also do flat bench though so I'm not desperate to see results quickly. This is my second week of bench pressing twicedumbbell flies. I love doing them because I can feel the workout a lot on my chest. I just recently started a week.When will I start seeing results though?? I don't drink protein shakes because i hear they just make you fat. Is it true?I would like to hear suggestions???
- I see what you are going through because I am going through the same thing. I do dumbell chest flies and dumbell chest presses, lateral raises, each consisting of right now 3 circuits of 20 reps of each exercise(3 times a week) and for me i did not start seeing results not until after 3 weeks . answering your question you should be seeing results at around 3-6 weeks. because it depends on many factors e.g what you are eating? how many times you do your exercise a week? and your body type. I would also suggest you doing 20-30 reps of lateral raises into your work out. going to your second question.as far as protein drinks i have the same fear as you have. that is why i don't drink it right now.(eventually I am going to give it a try) but I hear it doesn't make you fat. I helps you repair give nutrients your muscle tissue during your off workout hours. I hope that this information helps you. and remeber don't expect your body to look the way you want it to be over night. it takes a long time to get it there.
