Q: I'm new at pressing my mac pigments. I recently bought a bunch of mac pigment samples. I have two of each color with eaxactly 1/4 tsp in each. I read that your supposed to press with 3/4. Is it okay to press with less than 3/4?
Hi! Yes, definitely. You don't have to have exactly 3/4 tsps for it to work. 3/4 tsp might be the measurement needed to fill an eyeshadow pan, if that's where you're pressing your pigments. But then again, it's up to you if you want to fill the pan or not. You don't actually have to be very scientific about pressing pigments. Basically, keep dropping a few drops of 91% alcohol, mix it, and once it gets to the point that it's the the mixture holds/clumps together (you don't want it to be runny, and you'd know if it's still dry). If you put too much alcohol, you shouldn't worry b/c it dries up anyway. It just makes it hard to shape and press it. That's why the key is to put a few drops of alcohol at a time. There's really no exacty # of drops to # of teaspoons of pigments. I've pressed a LOT of pigments myself, and I don't even measure how much I use. Just be sure that after pressing it (press it firmly!), leave it open to air dry :)
Q: i'm 16 male, i play basketball and run each day...what is considered a lot of weight to do sitting leg presses with? a can do 330 pounds, 5 repsis that a decent amount of weight?
tell you the truth its not that much on a leg press im 15 and do 550 10 times so but thats just me keep working hard though
Q: I'm trying to submit some new about our company to some press release sites. They say please only submit press-release not articles What the difference in this case ?
Articles are written from an outside agency...press releases are produced by the company itself.
Q: im writing a paper about gutenberg and the printing press, and how it affects Europe during the renaissance, and im stuck.so how did the printing press affect Europe during the renaissancesomeone help me please and thankyou=]
One large effect which you should include in your paper is the ability of the printing press to distribute the ideas of European church reformer Martin Luther after 1517. This was the Protestant Reformation fueled by printed writings of Luther and others. Luther translated the bible into German so people (who could read German but not Latin) could read it for the first time. Of course many could not read their own language in the 1500's, but there was always someone in the community who would read printed materials to groups of people. Books had been rare and unobtainable by all but the very rich until the advent of the printing press. The press allowed the spread of many ideas - religious and political being chief among them. Print was the first mass media. News sheets, opinion pamphlets, and books became possible for the first time. I should add that the established Roman Catholic Church of the late 1400's and early 1500's would murder those who tried to distribute the bible in the languages of the people - - and the Church would murder them as painfully as possible to discourage the others. A case in point is William Tyndale who translated the bible into English, was arrested, tried for heresy, and burnt at the stake in 1536. The Church feared allowing people to read the bible for themselves because that threatened the well paid and privileged position of the clergy.
Q: I know that they can be fined for not attending a press conference, and I read somewhere that at the Olympic Games 2012, tennis players (if not other athletes as well) will be given a fine of 20 000 dollars. What's the logic behind this? Why should someone be forced to talk to the press?
every sports team do
Q: I just bought a heat press machine so I could make and sell t-shirts.My question is could I plug it into any outlet? It says to plug into a grounded outlet but I don't even know what that is. Also, could I put the machine on any kind of table? Thanks.
I can help if you give me more data such as the power of the press (how many watts), but lets say is up to 1200W heater, then you will be able to connect it anywhere, the grounded outlet is a safety issue if you live USA all your outlets have ground (take care only on the orange ones, as they need special connection). In regards where to put the press, far away from water, preferably use non flamable cover such as glass for the table or the place where you ar to set the press. take care for burning your hands/arms as the press might become hot enought to hurt your skin. regards,
Q: Also, is loose powder or pressed powder better for covering up discoloration?
I think loose powder is better because I read or heard that the pressed kind is compressed together with an oil. So why put oil back your face when you're trying to control shine. Also I think a pressed powder holds bacteria. Yuck!
Q: will this Panini Press from Target make a good Father's Day gift for my dad? What if there is a chance he might already own a George Foreman, is it still okay to get him this Breadman Panini Press?
Target Panini Press
Q: What should an athletic 16 year old male about six foot three, that weighs about 160 pounds bench press.
Well, the answer can be subjective since not every one is the same. Generally speaking, you should be able to bench press your own body weight for reps. The build of your physique does affect your bench press as well. For example, a tall lanky guy with longer arms is somewhat at a disadvantage in comparison to a shorty stocky guy with short arms who's range of motion is naturally less.
Q: I'm just asking dis because some of the pressed eyeshadows have better colors then the pigment ones.
pressed shadow includes more ingredients to prevent flaking. pigment pots are brighter, but you can achieve the same look by applying a base then a pressed powder shadow. make sure you pat the shadow on instead of sweeping it.
