Q:how much can you leg press?
I'm 5'8, 51 and I leg press 300 lbs in 3 sets of 21's. My avatar was taken in Nov 2009 and I weigh about 20 lbs less now. I'm also getting my credentials to be a personal fitness trainer.I do 5 1 hr sessions a week on my elliptical and 30 minutes on Sat or Sun along with 3 full body weight-training/sculpting/conditioning session.
Q:Looking for a less expensive pressed powder similar to Lancome Photogenic?
arbonne's about face translucent pressed powder(16$) or about face loose powder(22$)
Q:what's the difference between pressed wood and plywood?
ditto answer no 1 tell the difference...look on the side or ends will see multi layers in plywood ...ply is all so much stronger
Q:What role did the printing press play....?
Literature could be mass-produced and promoted greater literacy with the common man. Before that they just had to rely on Catholic priests reading from their latin scrolls and take their interpretations as the end-all truth, while any form of dissent was quickly burned by the church. However, with the printing press, ideas such as ones by Martin Luther could be spread throughout Europe and no longer contained.
Q:Should I wear pressed powder?
I use pressed powder pretty much all the time, but in my opinion, it doesn't really do anything. It won't make that much of a difference, but if you do decide to try powder, make sure it's dermatologically tested and all that. You want your skin to be healthy and be able to breathe.
Q:Smith machine or barbell bench press?
Always, ALWAYS go regular free weight bench press. Free weights are the most effective because the movements are not controlled...they are not as safe as machines per se, but what's a spotter for eh? I bench 185lbs (barbell) right now. If I were to use a Smith machine, I could probably do 225lbs due to the extra support. Decline bench pressing seems to be easier than incline for some reason. My favorite has and always will be the regular flat bench press, but I do understand what you mean by decline feeling easy. The standard, flat bench press is the #1 upper body exercise though.
Q:Should the American Press be restricted by the government?
There is always the restriction of classified material, I'm not sure how many people have the right to classify things or what the requirements are for being classified but they have the right, just like people do, to keep somethings private in that matter. Should they be able to? Yes, you don't want everybody knowing everything that is going on, it's not a good idea.
Q:Is there anything I can do besides bench presses?
Yea, you would be wanting a spotter for the bench. no remember what weight you're doing you prefer a spotter. even once you're purely lifting the 45lb bar. in case you max out or get too drained or purely attempt to do a velocity rep, your hands gets drained or maybe you is probably no longer waiting to tug off that 45lb weight. Plus, a spotter can help shop your bar straight away and side you to push extra durable whilst it quite counts. no person desires to choke themselves out with weights the gadget ones you particularly do no longer prefer a spotter in any respect by way of fact each and every of the weights are tucked away into the gadget. till you go with somebody to video exhibit you to be sure you're no longer putting your hands around the weights =P stable success!
Q:Safety guards for bench press?
There are safety rails but they can be pricey that can be used for any bench. I have included some website on bench press safety. I would suggest if you can't afford a safety rail then do use a spotter if you are using a straight bar. If you don't have a spotter try doing incline presses or flies with two free weights or different kinds of push-ups. Push-ups are a great way to built the chest. We just recently lost a high school football player to a bench press accident. He was working out alone and his mother came home and found him dead so please be safe while working out.
Q:good bench press starting point?
I was benching 175 lbs at a bodyweight of 140 lbs when I last tried maxing out. Same Height As You. I don't do any real powerlifting, I'm more into Natural Bodybuilding. The only experience I had was doing pushups but I did them in a slow controlled fashion where I used no momentum and it made it extremely difficult for me to even push out 11 reps, this really breaks down the muscles a lot more than fast pushups and you will feel it the next day. If pushups aren't your thing then you can just work with what you can do on the bench, there are no bad starting points. When I train someone I always tell them I don't care if you do 3 reps or 300 reps, the only thing I'm looking for is good form and the pain in your face that tells me you're working hard.
