- Q:Hi, I just wanted to ask a question about basic press-ups.For the last few weeks i've been doing 100 press ups a night, in two sets of 50 (with a good few minutes break in between), anyway i noticed a huge difference at first, but for a while it's not actually improving anything. Anyway i was wondering if it would be effective to switch this exericse to alternative days, and on the other days to do 50 normal press ups, 10 narrow ones (with hands together touching) and 10 wide ones (with arms considerably far apart) or other amounts depending on how difficult it will prove; so my question is would this prove effecitve and is it worthwhile? Otherwise i'll just continue with 100 press ups.Many thanks
- the best thing you could do to get results with press ups at this stage (seeing as you can do more than 50 pushups) is to condense your workouts one set once or twice a week doing as many pushups as you can till failure. that's it. each time you do pushups try and do more than you did previously and that will help you get results. another good way to go about getting results with press ups is to switch to a more difficult variation whcih will decrease the number of reps you can do. you can also try wearing a backpack with weights put inside to weigh you down as you do the press ups.

- Push ups do strengthen your chest. I did them for about 3 months because I wasn't weight lifting and my Bp improved. I'll tell you that Bp might be more effective;however, better something then nothing. And, I really don't think we lift all our body mass when we do push ups.
- Q:I've been wanting a bench press for a while now and 2 days ago my dad bought me one. When my mom saw it, she was being a ***** about it and told my dad to return it. - you can do a floor press. probably the big difference is range of movement. with a bench your arms can go a little lower so that the barbell touches your chest. can't get that low with a floor press. i live in an apt. and a bench would take up too much space so i just do floor presses. i used dumbbells and just do one arm at a time but if i had a spotter(someone to hand me the barbell and take it off after i finished) i would use a barbell. i actually prefer doing a standing press. i don't know when in real life i will be laying down to lift something.

- Im not really sure... I think you could most likely get a more natural finish with loose, but then again it depends. I really think the actual powder could be good or bad. My personal favorite is pressed... just because my favorite powder is a pressed powder. But if i found a loose powder that was good then that would be fine with me. Also on doctor oz... he said loose is unhealthy because you breath it in.....just a fyi
