What is the purpose of raising your truck very high for the highway? Customize your truck that reflects you and lifting it is one of things that speaks about you then raise it. - Yes it is hard to do yourself. That's why some shops specialize in lifting vehicles cause they can do it right. Some stuff may need to be fabricated. Depending on what car you have you can probably find some kits online or off road stores. Price range maybe couple thousand for the kit and more in labor.

- i think you mean a 1996, well the problem with that is that its not rear wheel drive so it would be pointless and you wouldnt really gain any traction. the easiest way is to get lowering springs, they usually come by the amount of drop they give either 1'' or 2'' or 2.5'' you can also get coilovers which lets you adjust the amount of drop you want, the only thing about those is that some are cheap and do break, and the worst thing that can happen is that they break while your driving.
- Q: Hey so i have a Musang GT and i bought a new X-pipe i want to install myself the problem is i have no way of getting under the car. I don‘t want to take it to a mechanic who will rape me for $$$, so I‘d love to figure out a way to lift it. I have two other cars in te driveway which have jacks to use to replace the tires, but there‘s a problem with this. 1. those jacks are too unstable and can‘t lift the car high enough, and 2. I need mostly to jack up the rear end, but I‘d love to be able to jack the whole car, and the E brake only stops the rear wheels so jacking the rear end would be too dangerous. Anyway is there a place where i can lift my car or a place with a pit? or are there cheap jacks i can buy somewhere? - I quit messing with exhaust plumbing years ago. I have learned that muffler shops can do exhaust work at very reasonable prices and - surprisingly - the best tended to have the lowest prices for a given job. They were just faster than the others. Taking exhaust work to general mechanics is crazy talk.

- it,s no picnic ! first take the pressure off the fuel ! you can do that by pushing the little valve on the fuel rail under the hood ! then slide a floor jack under the tank, take 1 end of both straps loose, lower the tank down far enough to reach the plug-in and the hoses, lower the tank to the ground, slide it out from under the car ! now mark the way the pump goes in and take a punch or a old screwdriver and unscrew the big 0-ring on the pump and lift the pump and sending unit out ! just make sure you get the new pump back in the same way ! now change the fuel filter ! it might have those quick connects so you might need a special tool to remove the hoses ! i have to ask you this ! how does she know it,s the pump ? it could be the pump fuse or relay if the pump is not kicking on !

- Why are you sooo nervous about riding? Some part of you chose to take the MSF class, which was a very smart thing to do. Just remember what you learned in class and you;ll be fine. Don't drive over your limit and try to ride with other people cause you'll pick up more experience that way and have a lot fun at the same time. I'm on the east coast and ride all year round, only time I don't ride is when it's snowing or freezing rain and stuff like that. When you go and buy a ride test ride, that's all I can recommend before you buy and ask a lot of questions. Good luck and be safe.
