Q: When I look at my car the passenger side is a little lower then the driver side. If I buy new shocks will that bring it up a little bit? Please help with some options if you know. Thanks very much.
No, your car rides on its springs. The shocks are just there absorb shock from the springs. If you replace your shocks, and the springs are still sagging, the car will still sag. Additional Info: It may not just need new springs, if its sagging, it could be a combination of the springs, struts, leaf springs, and shocks. If a leaf spring broke, it could put extra weight on your coil springs, which puts extra weight on your shocks, which puts extra weight on your struts, which means all of them need to be replaced. Your car may not have springs, it may only have a tortion bar. Could be broken control arm Either way, fixing ONLY the shocks isn't going to fix it. You need to have your entire suspension system checked out.
Q: Hello, I have a volkswagen Golf cabriolet (1994). I managed to lift it so the wheels got off the ground, (lifting the rear left tire).I feel like it is an accomplishment, since I exercise strength a little, and I manage to lift it up. Should I be happy about it? Or is lifting cars generally easy for everyone?I‘m unsure lol. I don‘t want to brag to my buds and get laughed off because anyone could do it. apologies if its a dumb question
for something that old and not at all a collector or rare bike, i wouldn't spend money on it except on worn out OEM parts, oil filters, oil, chain, sprockets, etcnot aftermarket stuff that's not needed. spend the money on ridng gear or save it for your next bike, because i've never known anybody who keeps a permanent katana in their inventory.
Q: I‘m interested in buying this lifted Jeep, however, I don‘t off road. Are they still ok for daily use? I just like their badass look, personally.ALSO, what are the pros and cons of a lifted car?
when a cars ride height is lifted you alter the whole balance of the vehicle. If you are on a fast road and swerve to avoid something the vehicle can roll over and/or go out of control.I am surprised the insurance companies have not put a stop to this stupid practice. I agree with the other comment entirely.
Q: OK try this on for size . its all about force and is mine bigger then yours. If the mass of the car and its velocity is greater then the mass and velocity of the funnel who would win. Also if the car enters the funnel in the same direction as the funnel is spinning what would happen would it be more disastrous or less.PS . I have no intentions of trying this, just asking where‘s Evil Knevil when you need him :-)
If the twister have been of EF - 0 or EF - a million scale, a vehicle are in a position to bypass by way of the funnel. An EF - 2 might in all risk blow the motor vehicle off the line. An EF - 3 might in all risk elevate a vehicle airborne, yet no longer throw it to a techniques. An EF - 4 or EF - 5 might surely elevate the motor vehicle and throw it a a techniques distance. right that's the more advantageous Fujita Scale EF - 0 sixty 5–80 5 mph winds. Minor harm. Peels floor off some roofs; some harm to gutters or siding; branches broken off wood; shallow-rooted wood pushed over. EF - a million 86–a hundred and ten mph winds. reasonable harm. Roofs heavily stripped; cellular properties overturned or badly broken; loss of outdoors doorways; domicile windows and different glass broken. EF - 2 111–one hundred thirty five mph winds. substantial harm. Roofs torn off properly-built residences; foundations of physique properties shifted; cellular properties thoroughly destroyed; great wood snapped or uprooted; gentle-merchandise missiles generated; automobiles lifted off floor. EF - 3 136–a hundred sixty five mph winds. severe harm. entire memories of properly-built residences destroyed; severe harm to massive homes including procuring department stores; trains overturned; wood debarked; heavy automobiles lifted off the floor and thrown; platforms with vulnerable foundations blown away far. EF - 4 166–2 hundred mph winds. severe harm to close to-entire destruction. properly-built residences and entire physique residences thoroughly leveled; automobiles thrown and small missiles generated. EF - 5 2 hundred - + mph winds. entire destruction. stable physique residences leveled off foundations and swept away; steel-strengthened concrete shape badly broken; severe-upward push homes have substantial structural deformation. that's the operational twister intensity scale.
Q: my mom called she lives about 30 minutes away. and she told me our german shepherd will walk a few steps then fall over. i dont have a car, my brothers away to college so my mom cannot take her to the vet tonight because she cant lift her into the car. about 2 years ago my dog wouldnt get up at all so we took her to the vet and she had a UTI. she was treated. she also has incontinence but from what my mom is telling me the dog will try to walk then fall. she is about 7 years old, pls does anyone know what this sounds like, or anything my mom can do overnight to help her.
I know that when my boston terrier had limes disease she became lame. She would try to walk but just couldn't and that day if went from that to she couldn't get up at all. The vet said she could have been bitten by an infected tick months before the symptoms showed. I just needed to give her two different types of medicine for about a month and she was as good as new. I don't think there is anything you can do tonight just get her to a vet asap tomorrow!
Q: In a car lift, compressed air exerts a force on a piston with a radius of 7 cm. This pressure is transmitted to a second piston with a radius of 18cm. How large a force must be exerted on the small piston to lift a 1.42x10^4 Newton car? What pressure produces this force?
(49/324)*1.42*10^4 2150 (3sf) hope that helps, area/area * force
