Q: I'm wanting to redo the interior of my car black but they didn't make any stock with black so I can't just buy a carpet mold. Does anyone know where I could get one made? Or even if there's a way I could make one...: Yes, you can make car carpeting. Just go to any carpet store and buy any carpet you want. You could even carpet your car with shag, if that's what you like (although it will be a lot harder to keep clean than indoor-outdoor carpeting). Use your existing carpet as a template. When you remove the carpet, try to keep it as whole as possible and then just lay it on top of the new carpet for a template. You might have to use books or some other weight to flatten the template, because it's bound to be bumpy after being formed to your car for so long. Then just tape the new carpet in place using carpet tape -- or use glue that's made to adhere to metal. Your car can have any kind of carpet you like. Personally, I would stick with carpets that are easy to keep clean (short-fibered carpets made of nylon), but honestly this is your choice.

Q: My mother in law is trying to sell the home we currantly live in and needs to put new carpet in and I have heard mixed reviews about it.. Q: I currently operate a rug store that sells almost all persian rugs in Santa Rosa California (in the San Fransisco bay area). Operation is rather stable but I have two issues.1. I sell high quality rugs and hence the prices are more expensive reflecting the quality. However, many customers can find designs similar to mine on the internet at 1/3 to 1/4 of the price. (internet is 600, mine are 3000). If you put the rugs side by side you can DEFINATELY tell the drastic difference in quality. How should I cope with this?2. You have to infiltrate the market by showing that you have great taste and an eye for quality. Get a couple of high profile (rich, important, and powerful) clients and then word of mouth should help you immensely. It is all public relations. Hire a specialist if you must. Buy one of the cheaper rugs and have it on display (don't be real in your face with it-put it in a corner so that you can direct people to it if you need to make the point-keep the receipt on display and be genuine. Personally, I bought a handmade rug from Iran (I can immediately tell that it is better quality than whatever they sell at retail stores for twice the price (I bought it for $300 with shipping on OKorder). It is a low psi (120) with a thicker wool and some low pile, but you must remember that most people intend to have furniture, children, and feet on their rugs. I don't mind the lower quality because I don't feel the pressure of keeping it pristine when I bought it for function (then beauty). If you wanted to expand your client base you could open a seperate place that dealt with the more affordable and function driven rugs that would cost under $1000, but still be better quality than synthetic machine woven options. Q: I am trying to decorate my house and I'm really stuck on what color of area rug to get for my living room!!!My walls are beige with white trim. Hardwood wood floors in the living room and bedrooms. Black granite floors in the halls, kitchen, breakfast area, and bathrooms. I am going for a mainly neutral color scheme overall (a lot of brown and black), except the bedrooms will be done in their own individual style. In the living room I have a brown double recliner and brown curtains with black rods. I have a couch and love seat that I'm looking to replace but have not shopped for anything yet (not until I have the money.: I would go with the red for that particular rug and pick up the color in accessories around the room. It will be much more visually interesting. If you choose a different rug you could pick something with browns and tans with some other color in it. IMO you really need some color. Red isn't my favorite but I think it would look fantastic. I prefer orange, teal or spring green. But the accent colors you choose don't have to be bright. Q: I am Thinking of using the carpet large sqauers you can but at lowes. Any one use them and are you happy or not?: It's probably cheaper to have real carpet installed. I've heard that these things can shift over time, and many times you can see that they're squres (the seams).

Q: My neice spilled pink nail polish on a beige carpet, what can i do to take it out?: I read where someone said creamy peanut butter will take the stains out of a carpet, if that doesn't work try Magic Eraser by the same company that makes Mr. Clean. Magic Eraser took ink stains, nail polish, and other stubborn stains, off of toys that I use to recycle for the mission.

Q: We are doing a production of Anything Goes, and the script calls for a chair rug. I've done a little bit of research, and it seems to be a thick towel that you would put underneath you to protect from bugs and the slats of the chair. Can anyone give me a little bit more to go on, or better yet, tell me where I can find one?: The only thing I know about a chair rug is from years and years ago when I was a small kid. My grandfather got a small thin rug to place under his rocker on the wooden floors....it kept it from squeaking when he rocked. Not sure that is the same thing...but we called it his chair rug.
