1. Structure of Safety Valve Description


Hydraulic Surface Safety Valve - SSV is designed to quick closure due to a pipe leak or burst, equipment malfunction, fire, or similar emergency. The Surface safety valve (ssv) is normally closed, pressure needs to be applied to the actuator to compress the spring and open the valve. 


The pressure needed to keep the valve open can be provided with a simple hand pump which, in an emergency, is bled off on the rig floor. However, a more sophisticated system called an emergency shut down (ESD) is recommended because it allows the actuator to be activated remotely.


We designs and manufactures hydraulic actuator and slab gate valve, assembled safety valve with consideration of optimal safety and economic. The available safety valve sizes from 1-13/16" through to 7-1/16",of pressure rating from 2000psi to 15000psi.

Q:Explain terms associated with valve timing?
HI You answered it your self... exhaust valve opening (EVO) is when the exhaust valve opens.. and the same for the intake (IVO).. When the EVO happens the motor pushes the exhaust (burnt fuel) out of the motor when the IVO happens it sucks gas into the motor to get burned and make power.. Exampe of a 4 strock motor. 1) piston goes down , sucking in air and fuel (IVO) 2) piston goes up compressing the air and fuel spark plug fires ignighting the fuel 3) piston goes down turning the crank powering the car from the explosion of Fuel. 4) piston goes back up pushing the spent fuel out. (EVO) then repeats. On a 4 cylinder car this happens 4 different times on an 8 cylinder car 8 different times and on 6 cylinder car 6 different times. When one cylender is firing another well be coming up to push out its spent fuel and another well be going down drawing in fuel and so forth.. good luck tim EDIT IVC = intake valve closes EVC= exhaust valve closes
Q:86 flhtc flowed heads bigger cylinders 86 cubic 10-1 pistons keep bending valves what can i do to stop bending?
The harle pretty well covered it but if i was you i would do a valve clearance check on the engine and turn it by hand and if you have resistance stop .. ok the way you do this is to take some sylicone and glue some solder to the top of the pistons where they are making contact and put the engine together and turn it over and mic the solder and that is your static valve clearance ..I like to have around .080 on mine and if you have that kind of clearance then yes you may be floating valves .. camshaft profile has a bearing on when this occurs and what springs you run and the head set up has to be right on .. sounds to me like a pretty mild evo though and if you used wiseco pistons they usually have enough relief that you don't have these problems .. i got one set up simular to yours that is a 84 evo and it runs like a raped ape for what it is and has for the last 26,000 miles and it has been turned over six grand too on rare occassions but not often..

yes we would love to help, except you gave us zero information, in order to even begin to guess whats going on, you need to explain a whole bunch of information if you want any help, like what year make model of car, engine mileage on engine, and any other things that have been done to a coar that you know of. If you have a chevy 350 it was pretty normal to get a puff of smoke out if it when it was cold, this was from worn valve stem seals, and sometimes the design of the seal was a problem, like the umbrella seal for late 80s early 90s, even new some got a few drips of oil and blow a puff of smoke, you say its smoking out the tail pipe, ok when only when cold? or all the time , or under acceleration? when, that is the first clue we need to know ok?

1.7 SOHC VTEC? I thought that used hydraulic lifters with the small flat plates under the lobes like a subaru or the DOHC older style hondas no? Otherwise i've never adjusted those valves unless they are the same as my old engine like a 1.6 SOHV ---V for valves Where you adjust the top screw and loosen the nut then adjust with the guage. Question are you useing the manual while adjusting from Honda? You can't just take the valve cover off and start sticking the feeler guage at every spot, Do know where each piston is at and at what stroke? also don't get the adjustment wrong for EX. and IN. side because that will just mess everything up even more. Is it high mileage also? and if you know you did it right and it still sounds loud you might have a bent valve or just engine damage like piston slap or something else. I've never had to adjust the valves for that vehicle in all the years i've worked on hondas or acuras, even though they say to adjust every 100k or something we've never had one that was really loud in that model plus those engines are dirt cheap and easy to swap if any engine damage is done... But ya, the honda manual is best for step by step instructions specially when you have to check certain ones at certain piston positions and after you can learn a trick to do it even faster and you can check a few at the same time then turn the engine and check the other ones but theres not enough space to explain in detail if you don't know.... Good luck though....( and do not leave the guage under the valve while your tightening the bolt down, you will squish the guage and then your specs will be off to )
Q:Need help replacing the old valve stem for tub/shower to replace with new valve stem?
Do you have a valve for the hot and one for the cold, or does one valve control both? If there are two valves they should just unscrew. You might need to go back to Home Depot and get a wrench designed for valve stem removal. (Before you go, spray it with penetrating oil such as WD-40 and let it do it's thing while you're gone. If it's just one valve for both, there's probably a collar that screws on and holds the cartridge in place. After that is off, the cartridge should slide out-ususally with a little 'persuasion' from some pliers. (But don't try to twist it) Hope you get it.

THERMOSTATIC EXPANSION VALVE A temperature-regulated valve that controls the amount of restriction to refrigerant flow between the receiver/drier and evaporator. Like the Fixed Orifice Tube, the Expansion Valve is the boundary between the High and Low sides of the refrigerant system. Unlike the Fixed Orifice, the Expansion Valve can regulate the flow of liquid refrigerant to the evaporator to either increase or decrease evaporator cooling based on the temperature of the refrigerant tube at the evaporator outlet. In vapour compression ref. cycle,The condensed liquid refrigerant, in the thermodynamic state known as a saturated liquid, is next routed through an expansion valve where it undergoes an abrupt reduction in pressure. That pressure reduction results in the adiabatic flash evaporation of a part of the liquid refrigerant. The auto-refrigeration effect of the adiabatic flash evaporation lowers the temperature of the liquid and vapor refrigerant mixture to where it is colder than the temperature of the enclosed space to be refrigerated.

Check your fill valve (inside the tank) first. If it appears to be working properly, turn the water off outside the house, drain the tank, take the filler tube ( from the valve to the bottom of the tank on the outside) loose at the valve. Remove the valve and inspect for obstructions, such as calcium and or lime deposits. You may need to replace the valve as they will occasionally wash out over time. Reverse this process to put everything back together, and be sure to wrap the male threads on the supply line (pipe sticking out of the wall) with teflon tape.
