- I've used resin components that were years old - so old the bottles were almost starting to dissolve from the inside out! Still worked just fine for me. I don't remember what the color was when it was new, but it is definitely darker now - but still works OK. If you are nervous, though, exchange it. If you don't, you will always have doubts and any little thing wrong about it will make you regret your decision.

- It is possible but extremely unlikely. The two operate on different frequencies, although they are close. Contact your alarm system provider.

- The answer is no. The curing agent for polyester resin is mekp or methelethelketonperoxide. It is the peroxide that mixes with a cemical in the polyester resin that raises the temperature of the resin to harden it. The more mekp you add the faster it will kick off. Do not add too much or you may start a fire. The slower the kick off time the stronger the polyester resin will last and not crack. You can clean yourself with acetone. Cleaning tools doesn't normally work very well so use disposable tools. Be extremely careful with acetone. The flashpoint is very low and a static spark will make it go up in your face just by pouring it. If you are pouring from one metal container to another ground the container to elimainate static electricity. My uncle burned his upper body badly one day during a hot dry summer day because of this. I only keep about a pint around because of the volitility of acetone. I hope this helps!

- the wax paper allows you to squeeze the air bubble out without getting resin all over you the paper should be flat with no creases wouldn't you take the paper off after you squeeze the bubbles out? I hav never heard of leaving the paper on you don't need the release paper you didn't put enough Catalyst in, read the instructions more carefully, it will go hard, yes you put another rmat over the top , but get your measurements right this time
