- Not unless you want to degrade its pressure rating! Bring it inside to warm it and attach the nuts, cones, and retaining rings, then take it outside to tighten to the fittings. If you can't bring it inside, gently warm with a hair dryer, but do not heat it too much. If it is too soft, the metal rings will cut through it.
- Q:I have a 99 Dodge Neon and I bought it used. I don't think the alarm in it is factory.I went to start it after it sat for a while and the alarm started going off, and the car wouldn't start. Wouldn't even try.The only way to make the alarm stop was to unplug the speaker with the alarm. The battery eventually died but a few days ago I went checking around.I found a small switch and a small black button wayy underneath my dash on the left had side close to the pedals. Is this the alarm buttons?Also, if it's not the button to disable the alarm, how would I go about removing it from the car so I can start it again?Thanks

- Q:I have pretty reasonable mech knowledge but not with turbos, Ive been reading a little on draw thru and blow thru turbo setups, I have access to turbos piping and intercoolers and my engine is a rotary 13b carbi fed engine(Its a toy and I dont care if I wreck it in the process)Anyone done their own?any reccomendations or advice?bare in mind Im not after a drag-car setup just a stupid lil booster to mess around with on fridays after work
- i'd go to the hardware and buy a double compression fitting cut the pipe as needed and put the fitting in. it will last forever. . these fixes are just that fixes what you want is to repair the problem. i've been seeing and getting info on these quick fixes for years like mike holmes says if you're gonna do it , do it right. your hardware clerk can tell you what to do, just make sure you know what size pipe diameter you have. a pin hole is going to keep getting bigger just like a cavity on your tooth will. and in comes murphy's law

- Cut the pipe that is leaking about 6 either way from the leak. use a pipe cutter so you will have a nice clean cut. You will be replacing about 1 foot of pipe. Get the proper size pipe and two collars. Mark the pipe one half the distance of the collar so the collar will be centered. Install the new pipe and collars and solder them back together. When you heat the pipe to solder the new one in heat the pipe and not the collar. When the pipe and collar are hot enough it will accept the solder. If you don't know how to solder you can buy compression fittings and use a wrench. Soldering is not that hard to do.

- There are several different types of compression style fittings available to repair pipes in this situation. I suggest cutting off a very short piece of the pipe and bring it to a local plumbing wholesale store or plumbing shop tmrw and they can show you a fitting that will work. Some brands that could work are - sharkbite - john guest fittings - Jaco fittings - philmac couplings the advantage of a compression fitting is that there is no glue or cement required to seal the joint. The seal is made by a nut and ferrul, rubber gasket or plastic washer. Most of these compression fittings are available from 3/8 to 2 or bigger and are easy to install with tools most people already own. Making sure you have a nice square cut and that you remove any burrs created while cutting is imperative. these fitings can be used on PVC, PEX, CPVC, PolyB, copper, and certain galvanized sizes. If youre stuck gluing, make sure you are using a proper primer before you apply the cement to the pipe and leave the pipe de-pressurized as long as possible. You can also try using a non flaming heat gun from a safe distance ( glue and primer are extremely flammable) so as to speed the curing up while not damaging the pipe or causing a fire or explosion. hope this helps :) Roland

- There are several schedules. The most common are 40, 80, and 160. Schedule 40 is the most common for typical cold water plumbing. Schedules 80 and 160 are usually used for drain pipes. There is also CPVC, which is used for hot cold plumbing.

- yes you can, and its simple. the fittings are available at lowes or home depot.just ask for the compression type special fittings to adapt from copper to pvc or visa versa..you will need a copper tubeing cutter if you dont have one and the rest is up to your skills of a home do it yourselfer at plumbing problems.or just ask for expert advise at the place where you get the parts,they usually have someone who has been there done that you can do it they can help !!! so they say.

- Q:I have this really good idea for Valetine's day. Me and this girl are going to go to the top of a local mountain/hill and have kind of a dinner under the stars. I'm going to bring some blankets, pillows, and, of course, food. I would like to also have a bit of a fire type thing, though (so I could reheat the food and also provide a little warmth/light).I once went camping with friends and they had this gel canister that they lit and cooked over (I don't remember it providing light, though). - What you can do is use a light fitting for outdoor use at home and then weld a spike to a pipe and weld a base on top and then mount the light on that. Not only will you have light, but it will look good too. Put a hook on the to tie the cable to in case they trip over the light that it doesn't pull out the cable from the light and also to pull the pipe out.
