As shown in Figure4,there are two elastic O-ring in the valve seat ring-ring A and ring B.Sealing ring A spring-loaded through the valve seat so that the sealing surface of sealing ring A tightly fit with ball surface to form an initial seal.When there is pressure in the system medium,the piston force
produced by the piston force produced by the piston effect of size difference makes elastic deformation of the ring A Ershi sealing surface and ball more closely fit the surface to form a re-sealing;meanwhile,due to ring A in the medium resulted in elastic deformation under pressure so that the sealing ring B is also closely fit the surface of ball for the formation of the second stage seal.When the system medium pressure increasing,it will have an enormous pressure in the valve seat ring A and ring B,so that the two seals have a greater elastic deformation,and then the metal valve seat ring surface and the ball surface sealing together to form a third level of metal to metal seal.

)The assisted valve seat sealing equipment
Based on the actual service condition,medium requirement,sealing requirement,etc.,the assisted valve sealing equipment will be considered to be necessary or not.The assisted valve sealing equipment is a one-way valve installed outside of valve body that can prevent medium leakage and can inject sealing grease into valve body by external force.When the assisted valve seat sealing equipment is required,valve seat ring shall be design and processed with injection grove and hole to connect the assisted valve seat sealing equipments.Such equipment can prevent the medium by the sealing of injection of rease.Refer to Figure5 for reference.

Multi-level structure of stem sealing 
Figure6 shows the stem multi-level sealing by adopting"O"ring,flexible graphite and grease injection;"O"ring achieves the first level stem sealing;Replaceable flexible graphite realizes the second level sealing by the compression of packing sleeve and packing flange;And the third evel sealing is realized by installing assisted sealing injection valve to the packing box,and by designing with the injection groove and hole to connect with the stem injection valve,which can inject grease.

Ball valve fireproof design is implementation of the API607,API6FA standards.According to service conditions and user requirements,ball valve can be designed as a fireproof structure.

)Fireproof structure of seat
As shown in figure7,there is composite fireproof ring,which are combined with graphite and stainless steel wire in the seat.Once the soft ring is burnt out in case of a fire,the fireproof ring and seat ring will form a piston structure through the spring to load the valve body.That will push and closely contact the metal seal surface of the seat ring to the body surface,So as to prevent a lot of medium from leaking from the burnt place of the seat ring,and prevent the fire from expending.

You bet it will! A valve job may uncover valve guides that are out of specification. In which case the old guide hole will have to be drilled out and the guide hole honed, new bronze / nickel or hardened steel guides pressed back in. An ordinary valve job is relatively straight forward and easy but the labor involved with the tear down a new head and valve cover gasket without valve guide repair will run nearly $1,000 at a BMW dealership and 20 -30% less at a private mechanics shop. Most private mechanics AND dealerships do not do the actual valve job. The cylinder head with the valves are sent out to an automotive engine machine shop where the actual work is done. The dealer or private mechanic does the disassembly and reassembly of the head back on the block and gets the car running again.

Yes and no. Most pro repair shops use a heavier oil on the bearings and your valve oil on the inside of the valve. Confused? On both ends of the valve are the real friction points, the bearings. One can be seen under the valve cap. Take the cap off and push the valve, the little post you see moving in the middle is the bearing. The other one is on the underside. It comes out of the valve body and has the string post screwed on it. The only point to oil the bottom bearing is that little crack you see where it comes out of the valve body. You put a drop of sewing machine oil on those 2 bearing spots, 3 in 1 oil also works. Then pull a valve slide and put a few drops of valve oil down into the valve. That is how it is done. BTW, there is no difference between valve oil and rotor oil most of the time.

Valve comes from latin valva. There is not other name for it in engineering, but some times is referred as a cock, if the valve is used as shutoff valve, it is also known as shutoff cock. For irrigation, sometimes large gate valves are also known as gates. I can give you many names for the type of valves but I can't think of any other name that replaces valve.

Q:Hey,I have a 1/2 diameter pipe and I want to place a valve on it. I need a valve that can be electronically controlled so the water flow can be started and stopped on demand. I plan to achieve this by connecting the valve to a 'relay' that will be connected to an ardunio or PIC that will programmed to determine when the water is to flow or stop. That make sense? So my question does anyone know a suitable type of valve? I've no experience with valves and there are so many types so I don't know where to start!I would be grateful for any suggestions :)Thanks!
Your application is very do-able. ASCO makes a valve that would work for your application. A few used ones can be found on Ebay. A few thoughts: 1) The normal fitting that you would need for the mechanical connection is 1/2 NPT (National Pipe Thread). That is a very common thread in the US. If you have a PVC pipe, you would have to get a fitting to convert 1/2NPT fitting to smooth PVC. If you have a steel pipe, then it has to be threaded for 1/2 NPT. If it is copper, you may have to get a smooth ASCO valve and solder it together. Use teflon tape or pipe dope to make sure that it doesn't leak. 2) Be very careful of your voltage and current. Your relay coil should be a voltage and current draw that will not be too much for the ardunio or PIC output. Also, the relay contact should be able to provide enough current and voltage to run the ASCO valve. BE CAREFUL. ASCO valves have a lot of inrush current, which means that it draws a lot more power to activate that it would be to hold it. Your relay should be sized for the worst case. For example, if the ASCO valve is rated for 120 volts ac (VAC) and is rated at 240VA inrush and 12VA holding, that means that it requires 2 amps to pull it in (240/120) and .1 amps to hold it (12/120). The contacts of your relay should then be rated for at least 120VAC and 2 amps.
Q:I have three zone valves, two out of the three don't ignite the gas. Once I turn up the thermostat I see the lever on the zone valves move but no gas ignition. Only one of three works fine. Any leads? Thanks!
the zone valve will turn on the pump. if the water temp is high enough, the gas wont turn on. check the aqua stat to see the temp setting
Q:My cougar needs new EGR valve. They squeezed the 4.6 litre engine into it. My question is, how hard is it to get out and then back in? I can barely see the top of it behind the intake manifold so don't want to get it off and not be able to get it back in. What size bolts hold it in? I'm sure they are metric. Go to a library that carries the ALLDATA data base. This amazing system has all information you will ever need. Even secret recall campaigns can be found here. Anyways, you are wasting your money to replace the EGR valve. For the most part, they can just be cleaned out with a solvent like Gum-out or butyl cello-solve and returned to service. Usually, these valves get gummed up when the IAC valve is dirty or you are using cheap gas and/or cheap oil. You are right about being metric, but a 13mm is the same as a 1/2 inch. A 14mm is the same as a 9/16 inch. You can even clean this valve by using Amsoil Foaming Cleaner through the intake manifold with the engine running full warm. Eventaully, this cleaner will penetrate the valve and allow it to close. You can tap it lightly with a mallet. Follow with a Gum-out chaser. Good luck!!
