Q: A friend has some winter tires for sale.My current tires are P175 65R14The tires he has for sale are P175 70R13 (already on rims). Will his tires fit my car?
I wouldn't blindly say that 13 rims won't fit on a car running 14 rims. That would depend 100% on what car you have and how big the braking system is as well as whether or not the lug nut/bolt pattern is the same between your car and your friends. Since his tires are smaller than yours, your odometer/speedometer will read a higher than actual mileage/speed. HTH
Q: My tire tread creates a lot of cabin noise.I was just wondering if anyone knew some tire treads that were quite due to design.(that aren‘t super expensive)
Sure, there are potentially several tire brands/models which will have less road noise. What is your vehicle and/or tire size? We might be able to suggest some quieter options. Do keep in mind, average to lower quality tires can become very noisy after even minimal wear. Tire road noise could come from several different factors depending on the tire performance category, tire quality, tread wear, and tread design.
Q: Beverly should change the brand of car tires
Hello! Headquartered in Clermont-Ferrand, France, the Michelin Group was founded in 1889 and is a global leader in tire technology. The main business areas include tires, mobile assist systems and travel services. Michelin brand tires to maintain its excellent overall performance at the same time, some focus on comfort and quiet, and some focus on the movement and handling. You can choose for your hobby. When buying tires, you need to take full account of vehicle performance (eg super sports car, SUV, small and medium sized sedan), driving habits (eg, gentle or driving style) and hobbies (eg comfort, (Such as: high speed, gravel pavement, winding road, etc.) and climatic conditions (such as: winter snow and ice weather) and so on, and then according to Michelin tire product positioning to choose the right of your tires.
Q: truck tires 225/70/15
you can try les schwab but also tire factory BUT also try wrecking yards cause they usually have tires for cheap but you have to have them mounted. when you are getting a tire, a couple of things to look at is the age of the casing which is right above the bead on the sidewall. it is the last 3 numbers. it is the week and year in which the casing was made; so dot means that the tire was made in the 3rd week of 2006. if the tire is more than 5 years old then id be cautious of that tire. but.one thing to remember is that the legal tread depth is 2/32nds and all tires have indicators between the treadsshowing when its time to replace the tires.
Q: I have a 2004 Dodge Neon with 13 inch tires would I be able to put 17 inch tires/rim on the car
Yep, 17's will fit ( 205/40R17 would be a good size to keep the overall diameter correct ). However, with Neon's, a 15 ( or possibly a 16 ) would be much better to keep the rotational mass down in each corner. The 2.0L engine does not have a lot of torque at, or just above idle, so off the line, the car will feel a lot slower with 17's
Q: Hey guys well I want to know what psi I should set my tires to. The manual says 35 at most. The tires are Yokohama Type S(I KNOW, NOT THE BEST TIRE OUT THERE BUT ITS OK) on the tires it says 51psi MAX. I was told that you should always go 5psi under the max. Is this true? Or should I always fill it up to the MAX? Also which psi do I fallow the 35max on the manual or the 51psi MAX on the tire?
For the best answers, search on this site shorturl.im/avEoo That is because the tire does not tell you the tire pressure you should use - how could it? The tire has no idea if it is mounted on a BMW, a Pontiac or a Toyota so how could a recommended inflation pressure possibly be listed there? All the tire tells you is a safety warning about the maximum load the tire can support at its maximum inflation pressure. That is a safety warning, not a suggestion. Go ahead, read it again. The recommended inflation pressure is the one on the car.
Q: My tires on my SUV has a max.tire pressure of 44psi cold, My tag on the door pillar is marked at 30psi front/35psi rear. can I air up tires to 40psi for better gas mileage
are you like in hell ?
Q: Hello everybody,I have a question about All year tires. I know that if the tire says M+S and has a snowflake symbol, then its a snow tire. If the tire says M+S with no symbol, its a all year tire. I also knos that some all year tires wont even say M+S. I have 2 tires that dont have M+S. All the tire says is 185/65 R14 86T. Is this an all year tire? Its a Kumho tire. It says Power Star if im correct. Thanks in advance for your help.
M+S means Mud and Snow, these tires are designed for offroad and/or winter conditions. the 185/65 R14 86T is your tire's size and speed rating, it has nothing to do with the tread. it's not a good idea to drive with snow tires in warmer climates, they burn up very quickly.
Q: i just blew out my rear right tire and i just got them probably less than a month ago. should i just replace that one tire? and can i drive it to the place to replace it? or should i not drive on a blown tire
Put them in a plastic shoe box you can get them at WalMart and get some coconut fiber and put some in the shoe box and ad a Little bit of water and keep it moist don't throw the eggs out keep them for 2 months and see what happens. Good luck.
Q: How long does the car tire need to cheer? Where should I play?
Friends, the general tire pressure is a week to check once the general method of checking the air pressure is to use barometer to measure the pressure, and now the tires are vacuum tires, the eyes are not easy to see.It is recommended that you go to Auto Parts City to buy a barometer, Also about 30 yuan. Need to add gas, then you can go to the car beauty shop and tire store, you can add air pressure.
