- Try rolling them the opposite way first and then lay them down the right way. You can also put some heatbond tape around the edges where it's curling up which will stiffen your rug and stop it from curling. The heatbond tape needs to be put on with a very hot industrial iron, so I sugest you take it to a carpet place and ask them if they will do it for you or know anyone that will!! The other thing you could try is sticking some double sided valcro tape to the underside of your rug where it's curled and some to your carpet and stick your carpet rug to the floor.
- Q: The previous owner of my home put up walls for separate rooms OVER existing carpet in the basement. He/she did not install baseboard along the new walls. I'm planning on replacing the carpet in the basement as well as installing baseboard along the walls. What should I do first? The carpet installer is going to have to cut the carpet from underneathe the walls in order to replace it. Should I wait until after the new carpet is installed or can I go ahead and put the new baseboard in regardless?
- You ll have to cut the carpet out and put the base on. Depending in what carpet you put in , the normal distance to leave the base up it just the thick ness of a normal base. Unless you have thin carpet and thick base use a few pcs of scrape.. Doing this will also stop the tracking and sawdust you ll track in on new carpet putting it in.. A couple of draw backs , but its minor.. Newly painted base, the paint isn t cured and can be easily scratched up from the carpet backing. This is hard not to do because of the backing of most carpets. If they are painted be prepared for some minor touch ups . Even care full installers it can happen.. GL

- Yes, it would look nice, and would not get as dirty looking as a cream color rug. And with the solid furniture it will add interest as well. I would add some bright colors in your accessories, just about any color you like will look good. I personally love lighter blues with brown, sage green and brown is a hot combo right now, or warm tones like red or orange would spice it up. Add your choice in pillows, throws, table decor, whatever you love.

- For those type of stains I really think you may need a professional cleaning service. The Tie dye stain can be a permanent stain on the carpet. The ink maybe worked out but again it depends on what type of ink. This I would most definitely call for Professional assistance.

This are discounted pieces of carpet. They come in all kinds of sizes. Once you choose your carpet piece ask the carpet store does binding on the carpet. This keeps the edges from fraying. It is nice because when you leave your rental place you can take your rug with you.
