Q:I had the camera fully charged, taken a couple of shots and the next time I used it, the change battery pack appeared. When I closed the camera and opened it again, it worked just fine.This has happened every once in a while since then--way before the low battery sign appeared. I've only had this camera for a month so I don't know why it's acting up already.Any answer or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.Thanks! )

Q:I don't understand why if there's this big worry with electric cars about range anxiety, is why they all don't just use the 85kwh batteries used on tesla cars to achieve around 300 miles of range. It would give EV's the kick start they need. If one were to pay big bucks could they have those types of batteries installed into say a leaf or a rav4 ev to get better range? Thanks!
Batteries are still very expensive, but I'm sure a small car could be designed that would give long range without the power of the Tesla. The issue is the even rather mundane cars like the Leaf are still very expensive for what they do, and increasing cost to give longer range isn't likely to sell any better. Just a comment about wireless transmission - people freak out when it is suggested that new power lines be run near their houses. I seriously doubt people could be convinced to drive near electric fields that were quadrillions of times greater than what you get from power lines. DK
Q:I am creating a lighting system for a replica of The Ghostbusters Proton Pack. I have two different battery operated holiday light sets to reproduce the effect the movie props had. Both use 3 AA batteries can I wire a single battery pack and a toggle switch into both? I assume I would then need 6 AA batteries? Thanks in Advance!
Batteries in series add their voltage. Batteries in parallel add their current capability. By hooking both lighting systems to one battery pack you are going to drain the batteries faster. The concept of 6 AA batteries I would use 3 D size batteries if I was working with lighting so the battery would last longer and if I used rechargeable batteries, I wouldn't have to recharge them as often. Q:I have a dv6000 hp laptop computer with a battery pack that has been recalled. I have had the computer for over 5 years and have never had a problem, but now it will not power on, even when plugged inthe lights come on like it wants to power on, but shuts off right away. Unless the battery has physical damage to it then it can cause the computer not to turnbut in this case it sounds like your actual motherboard can be bad.viruses will only affect the computer once it gets past the HP splash screen, but if that HP logo doesn't come up, it sounds like it is a bad motherboardRecommend to take in to a local PC shop to have a look at it.

You do realize that Xbox Controllers also run on 2 AA batteries ? All I have is Rechargeable batteries , I have like 4 sets. Go get a couple of AA and start playing.
Q:differs a lot from the left battery to the right? from left to right, each battery uses successivly less water from a lot to hardly any each time I add water. these are the standard wet batteries exactly the same as those used in fork lifts.
If I understand your question you have 4 total 6 volt batteries constituting a bank of 4 batteries in series/parallel, which should produce a high capacity 12 volt output. First of all I'm assuming that all of these batteries are in the same circuit and would be subject to the same loading and charging and they are wired correctly. That being the case I would be surprised if there was a great difference between any of the four batteries use of water. It sounds to me like if some of the same batteries are requiring lots of water at whatever interval you are checking there is a problem, especially if one or more of the others aren't. If this is the case my advice would be to contact the battery manufacturer and find out the proper process to equalize all four batteries. If you have one or more of these batteries using excessive water there is a problem. Remember this principal: When using two or more batteries your power is only as good as the weakest battery. That is why you always replace flashlight batteries together with two new ones. It sounds as though one or more of the batteries are sulphating, which will greatly reduce their capacity and generate excess heat boiling off the electrolyte prematurely. Check out my suggestion to equalize the batteries, which if they aren't too far gone will get them all back on equal footing again. Good luck.

Q:I recently purchased a NiMH battery pack with a Futaba J connector. I also bought a charger, but it does not have the right connector. The charger does however come with an adapter to alligator clips and a red and black wire. I looked on my batter and noticed that there was only a black and red wire actually in the Futaba connector. I was wondering if it would work to connect two pins to my alligator clips, and then connect them to the battery. It is for a school project so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Sounds to me like you have two incompatible items. The Futaba battery pack needs a charger made for it. The Futaba battery if it is four cells, is 4.8 volts, 600mah, or 8 cells, 9.6 volts, 500 mah. You CANNOT charge either one of them with a 12 volt battery charger. You need a charger that comes with an R/C transmitter, designed to charge their batteries. Their charger comes with a female Futaba J connector which matches the battery connector. Please do NOT try to charge the battery with the WRONG charger.
Q:I have a red controller, I want to buy a new rechargeable batter pack. I bought the red controller like the week it came out, so I have used it a lot. Now I have to charge it like every 2-3 hours and that is getting pretty annoying.
