- Q:Isn't it better to place a CPU on a desk or at least elevate it so that it doesn't touch a carpet or floor? (Even if the carpet is not shag?) - Peroxide is useful in some situations. Also, it depends upon the quality of stuff used for carpet. If it is of good quality then the color of carpet will not damage but if it's quality is poor then you may face a more big stain of color damage. So be careful!

- I've done this twice. I took a wall to wall carpet and put in a smaller room wall to wall again. I just had to pay for the labor. The second rug I had bound on all four sides and used it as an area rug. They charge by the foot to bind it and I don't remember what it cost, but I was glad I did it.

- Yes its a softer fiber. Softer than your standard nylon carpet. But the drawback is that the fibers don t stand up as well as nylon and defiantly won t last as long as wool.
