Q:I did not perm my hair for 3-4 months. The first time I permed my hair it was not 'fully' permed because when i washed it , it would become curly again. The hair dresser told me that since it was my first perm. When I did a touch up for the roots the person fully permed ONLY the roots. Can I still get my hair pressed so I can spike it ? What should I do to make it straight again. I'm not perming my hair again.I'm black btw.
Hello, okorder .. If you don't know how to use a flat iron, this guide will tell you that as well as it can get a bit long to explain here. Hope this Helps! Bobi
Q:I have heard that bench pressing is bad for swimmers because it can mess up their range of motion...Is this true?If not, should I consider it as a swimmer and could it help me improve?
i'm not really sure . but if you want to build up muscle i recommend using a bike. it builds up muscle in your legs pretty fast...
Q:The press has been called the ___________ estate. A. vital B. last C. fourth D. wealthy
Spaz is correct -- the Fourth Estate
Q:Another question: What should I do when bench pressing to work out different areas? Grip-wise.Thanks in advance.
The muscles used in the bench press are the following: -Pectoralis Major, but mainly the sternal (lower) head. -Triceps -Anterior Deltoids (the front segment) Other muscles that are involved but not really trained in this exercise are: -The wrist flexors/extensors (forearms) -Biceps (for stabilization) The effects of different grips - a closer grip will shift the stress onto the triceps more. A wider grip will shift the stress onto the chest more. An incline bench press will put most of the work on your clavicular (upper) pecs and anterior deltoids.
Q:I have been working out for a long time now. I am asking this qun. to all fitness pros. bodybuilders. If Front Press worksout the front delts (shoulders) then what does Back Press do ? I generally do back press with barbell.
I'm assuming that you mean shoulder press, or military press. From my knowledge, military press is performed in front of the shoulders and shoulder press behind. I also know of many top bodybuilders that will not do the rear shoulder press, or even pull downs behind the neck, as it is arguably bad for your shoulders. If you are pressing or pulling something with your shoulders right back, they are at their maximum range of movement. Military press allows your shoulders to move in a much freer, more natural way. Personally, I'm not convinced that there are any additional benefits to doing presses and pulls behind the neck - you can get all the benefits you want from in front exercises. Don't just listen to me though. Many people still do these exercises and some people swear that they are beneficial.
Q:Whats the difference between the two? Is bench press better than doing push ups?
Doing push ups works more of the upper back muscles (trapezes or traps) along with the chest, triceps and shoulder muscles including the rear deltoids. Doing push ups you have to balance your weight which also works the ligaments and tendons of the muscles. A free weight bench press is the same as a push up because you have to balance the weight. The free weight bench works everything the push up works except the traps and rear deltoids. FYI: Whenever you can, do free weights. They work your ligaments and tendons along with the muscles because you have to balance the weights while you are pushing or pulling them. In my opinion the push up is better than a bench press because it does work more muscles. This does depend on how big you want to get. Your body weight can only build so much muscle. For me my body weight is enough and therefore the push up is better for me. Someone else may have different goals and of course the push up will not be good enough for them. However, there are creative ways to add weight to the push up to make them more difficult for more challenging goals.
Q:I want to matte my face but don't want a heavy makeup look at all, and also don't want a product that will clog pores. Does anyone have any recommendations for powder that will make my face matte all day but not look noticeable? Also, which is better, loose or pressed?
You need a matte powder. It doesn't matter pressed or loose. I have embarrassingly oily soon and these translucent powders work for me: Jurlique Citrus Silk finishing powder for all day matte. Kind of pricey though at 36 dollars. Hard Candy Welcome Matte on a budget 6 dollars maybe a touch up or two. If you have oily skin properly cleanse exfoliate tone moisturize and use plain milk of magnesia before powder. Lemme know if you need skin care routine.
Q:I just recently heard of the leaf pressing hobby and it sounds fun and interesting but I do not know much, so I may sound very new and stupid but I'd love it if you helped!1. How long should I press the leaves for?2. How long would they last?3. Should I hang them up or find a nice sized journal with blank pages to put them in?4. IF I hung them up, what sort of paper would I use and how?5. IF I used a nice journal, how would I attach the leaves? I think I saw someone who threaded them on, would that be an okay way to do so?I think that that's about all I have to ask, but if you have any tips and tricks let me know!Thank you!
in schools art class.we would take 2 pieces of wax paper and put the leaves inside then iron them and they last forever :)
Q:I watched a video about the making of vinyl records. I still don't understand what is vinyl pressing. Someone explain this please.
the records have a groove . when you play the record a pickup rides in the groove and the ridges in the groove wiggle the pickup to give the sound. to make the records they first make a metal version of the record that has a ridge instead of a groove so that when this metal disk stamps the blank vinyls it leaves the groove in the record. thats called pressing a record.
Q:Should the student press be afforded the same rights as the regular press?
I was a Mass Comm major, and worked on Student Radio and all that jazz. To your question.....ummmm. no Freedom of the Press Lies with the person who owns the press. Example that college. As a student press you are subject to school ruling and what they feel is appropriate. So if I want to start a paper and say something bad, i would start my own paper , so I could do this. This is what I have been taught, not that I completely believe it.
