Q: I really really want to increase my bench press. During school last year I did 135 lbs. I wanted to do better this year and do better next so I went to the gym and started lifting weights. I barely did bench press because I did not have a spotter. So instead I used dumbbells like depending on the day and workouts I do it rangers from 25-35 lbs. And I also chest press 110 lbs 10x and I do 3 sets. Today. I did 200 reps in curling ( did pyramids 2x starting at 50 lbs ) and incomplete it 2 with 5 reps per weight So when I tried to bench I couldn't bench at all. Is it cuz of this?? I did a bunch of triceps and chest exercises before this.
People will tell you different things, but I always do bench press first on chest and back days, mostly because it is the most important excercise, to me anyway. I never do arms on the same day im doing a full chest workout, instead I do whole days of just arms once a week. I do chest and back workouts twice a week. Arm workouts are tricky because it usually will take longer for your arm muscles to recover then your chest and back, sometimes I skip them and throw them in bi-weekly. Your chest and back excercises will attribute to your overall strength gain much more then any of your arm excercises.
Q: I've bench pressed for many years and encountered this problem over the past 2months.During my first set I will get pretty intense pain in my right bicep. It will be fine after the 2nd set but never the less it is very uncomfortable, could lead to joint damage and reduces how much I can do on my chest during the session. How can I resolve this problem? Why is it happening?
Well first off it could be from any number of things, now you say you have been lifting for years so im sure you know that the tricep is the secondary muscle when benching, however depending on how wide your grip is, and what the position of your arms are at the bottom of the press can put more strain on muscles other than your chest and tris, therefore your biceps could be called in to the press, ask someone to watch you and when let them know when the pain starts, is most intense, and when it starts to go away throughout the rep. then try moving around your grip and and relying on stricter form and have them watch you again and see if the point of pain changes, lessens, or increases. None the less you should talk to a sports injury specialist, NOT YOUR GENERAL PHYSICIAN, nothing against them, but those that are in the sports medicine field study specifically that.
Q: Isn't the push press basically the same thing as the military press just with a small squat?
A push press is done by using your knees to get the weight started and pushing it up about 1/4 to 1/2 of the way where a regular or regulation military press is done without any use or help from the knees and it's pressed solely with your arms and shoulders from a stand still position. In the push press it's more like a jerk than a press.
Q: Do press have to contact someone to get on the red carpet or do they just show up with their camera's and accreditation? I have the press release for the premiere i just didn't know if i should let them know I'm coming to the premiere... thanks!
You need to contact the PRO of the event in advance so that he will guide you the right way orelse you may have to face embrasements at times which can be avoided
Q: I am trying to become a Freelance Photographer and sell my photos to the local newspapers and other media organizations. I plan on taking pictures of crime scenes and different law enforcement / fire department events in my area.I've talked to a few people and they all told me that I would need a Press Pass. I am unsure as how to get one (I call the different newspapers and places like that and they say that they only issue them to their employees and are not for freelance photographers like myself). If I am a freelance photographer, do I really need one? If so, could I just create my own business and make my own press pass for that business?(I am in California, Los Angeles County)
When I was a newspaper reporter, we reporters used to laugh a bit at our friends asking us to get them a press pass. That was because, we felt, if you had to have a press pass, it wasn't going to do you much good. Yes, we all had press ID. But it was a point of pride not to use it -- just waltz up to the place or person and say, I'm from xyz news. How about that...(and ask your question.) But your situation is a bit different, I see. Okay, here's what some people in your situation (actually needing a press pass) did. We had a county press association, and when I was president, II made name cards for all the members -- even some who were freelancers like you. I think your idea of making yourself a news media with a blog is a good one. Print yourself up a card with your blog name on it, and your id for contacts -- name, phone#, email addy. I bet it would work -- make it _real_ official looking!
Q: Im looking for the best drugstore pressed powder to use but it has to be available in a very very pale shade and it must be finely milled!Suggestions?
Maybelline okorder for make up reviews and to see what other people have to say about different drug store powders.
Q: I cant find a straight answer to this, apparently everybody has a different opinion so I'll try asking on here. Incline dumbbell press, is it necessary to bring the weights together at the top of the press or can you just go straight up and down with the weights as if you were using a barbell
bring them together but do not click them together because when you bring them close without touching you are showing that you have controll over the weights and it makes you utilize the muscles in your shoulders.
Q: What's an alternative to bench press? The person I pick for the best answer will tell me : Exercises I can do without going to a gym. But I would also like to know other ones that are also in the gym. Thanks =]
Push-ups. Diamond w/ your hands in the shape of a diamond. Regular w/ arms shoulder width. Wide push-ups arms a little more than shoulder width. This will ensure complete development of the pecs.
Q: I wont to know the best way to increase my bench press i bench 175 and i am 15 and i wont to be benching 225 by July

Q: So I just recently discovered what loose eyeshadow (pigments) are and they do seem to give off an amazing vibrant colour. However, I've been thinking can you still get the same vibrant colour with a really good cream eyeshadow as a base (over primer) and then pressed eyeshadow on top?I've been thinking about getting NYX loose pearl eyeshadows however, the thing is I have a lot of pressed eyeshadow palettes already. So, I've been wondering if I were to buy a good cream eyeshadow, such as Maybelline Color Tattoo and use that as a base before applying the pressed eyeshadow, would I get vibrant colour as well?I've been reading up reviews and I think it does the same thing however, I'm unsure. Also, are loose eyeshadows (when applied with medium) as easy to blend as pressed eyeshadows are?Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Pressed eyeshadow is better . If you apply a good eyeshadow primer , pressed eyeshadow gives same effect . Loose eyshadow (pigment) are good for special occasion not for everyday . Apply cream eyeshadow dab pressed eyeshadow to give vibrant effect :)
