Q: I have a 2006 kawasaki zzr600, I want to improve the sound quality of my bike‘s exhaust. so if I buy a muffler will it improve sound quality or I have to buy full exhaust system?
Slip-on pipes are designed to enhance the sound and have small effect on performance. I have heard of people doing a slip on upgrade and needing to adjust air intake or carbs but it's rare. I would say go ahead and swap out the can and see how she runs. if you start backfiring and stuff like that, you'll need to make some adjustments up front. A full exhaust will require some adjustments to air intake and fuel delivery.
Q: When race exhaust are instaled car can produce more power. Why is it so?
NO!!! Don't use that!!! There are other products you could use on the cheap, but can I suggest you ask a lumber yard or supplier to DONATE the lumber? They may be more than happy to assist in exchange for free advertising in your garden area (ie, garden supplies and lumber donated by xyz signs). There are a couple of great books on raised beds at the library. Mel Bartholomew wrote Square Foot Gardening and there is another (I can't remember the exact name or author) something about growing 100 pounds of tomatoes in a cheap foam box. The boxes are reusable and seem easy to assemble and should work for your needs. I have my raised beds in a couple halved 50 gallon plastic drums I picked up for $5 each from a barrel guy that gets them from food factories (Be sure they are food safe). I cut them in half the short way (they stand on their tops and bottoms) with a jigsaw and drilled holes in the bottom for drainage. There are lots of other ideas out there, be creative!!!
Q: i want a nice agressive sound and horsepower
sell ur car an buy a VR4 :-)
Q: I know this question has been asked a billion times all over the internet. But different vehicles/engines sound different/better. I have a chrysler 318 engine in my dakota. I have been leaning towards flowmaster since my friend has flowmaster on his 87 camaro iroc z and it has that loud deep tone that i like. But do any of you have different opinions?
I had a cherry bomb on mine with no cat. sounded pretty good for a v6. lol
Q: I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS 2.0L, the car was just purchased 2 weeks ago, and before that had stored winters and no rainy days so needless to say, the underside of the car is remarkably rust-free and clean. But being it was stored, the header pipe ended up coming apart at the steel mesh area. It is going to cost 175.99 plus installation for the new header pipe, or I can spend an extra 80 and buy a full Catback Exhaust System for it. Is this worth it? Or should I just buy the header pipe by itself? Keep in mind that I don‘t want to have to spend a ton of money on installation whether it be by me or a garage.
knee deep is correct in that it a cat back is truly from the catalytic converter to the tail pipe You said turbos as in 2 on your car WOW The whole spill with the X pipe is if you have a true dual exhaust up front on a V8 and two completely independent exhaust pipes that don't share any flow up to the the point of the X-pipe. It's design is to then assist with back pressure and flow at the same time. If your car is turbo charged, I'd let the turbo deal with the back pressure and make my exhaust a free flowing as possible to cut down on turbo lag. If your exhaust is restrictive it slows the flow and delays the spool up of the turbo. But let a engineer at some exhaust company determine whats best for you. Call around to several companies and you'll get a good idea on what you need
Q: CAN I FIT A EXHAUST SYSTEM FROM A MUSTANG GT TO A V6 IF I AM GOING WITH A DUAL SYSTEM ON MY V6
no, the gt exhaust wont fit on the v6. they could work on it and make it fit, the it wont plug and play
Q: Is Magnaflow catback exhaust system or factory exhaust better for a 98 Firebird Trans Am?Will I lose power if i get a magnaflow? Or would it just be better to keep my factory exhaust system?
The Magnaflow Catback system is a performance system designed for your car, it will give a minor performance boost and a nicer exhaust note (sound or rumble preferred by enthusiasts) The stock exhaust is the factory system installed when it was assembled and parts are stocked at any muffler shop. It is all up to you and your wallet, the Magnaflow system will set you back a couple hundred more than stock system.
Q: I have a 95 Dodge Dakota. My muffler fell off while driving. The exhaust pipes are very rusted. So I am replacing all the pipes and of course a new muffler. Do I need any special tools for changing this. And what level of difficulty is this job.
For the best answers, search on this site shorturl.im/axapD Yeah first make a stone pick axe with 3 cobble stones and 2 sticks, once you have mined the iron ore put it in a furnace and add some coal to the bottom and you'll have usable iron for crafting.
Q: 07 Honda civic coupe ex ( automatic ), I‘m looking for an exhAust system that sounds good at a fair price no more or around $300.
Dyna-Flow makes a decent one for less then that. Any decent muffler shop can set you up with a good one (cat back system). Just don't get one with the FART CAN SOUND! None will give you better mileage. May feel like it has better acceleration though.
Q: Im looking to get the hp gains of a full exhaust but i want to spend around $400-$500 for all the parts and installation. Is this possible and what is the best way to go about it?
If you cut out your cat and stick in a freeflowing exhaust, you might might might get a little bit of a noticeable horsepower gain. Exhaust is not the first place to start to increase your horsepower. Look towards a cold air intake, KN filter, you can have your timing advanced a little bit if you want to use higher octane fuel, upgraded cams, etc.
