Technical features:

By the great effort, HUAYUAN has developed the first biomass boiler without grate. There are three kinds of hot water boilers as following:

Longxiao Series A: blue touchscreen control system, burning any biomass fuel without dark smoke.

Longxiao Series B: colorful touchscreen control system. motor frequency control system. drain the coked fuel in the combustion procession. burning all coked biomass fuel.

Longxiao Series C: large colorful touchscreen control system. intelligent control system, internet control system. drain the coked fuel in the combustion. burning all coked biomass fuel.

Characteristics:

1. Different from tradition vertical boiler, any parts of boiler could be checked and repaired. Even the fire pipes in the boiler could be replaced without boiler disassembled.

2. HUAYUAN adopts world leading patent combustion system. Boilers without grate will need no more grate transporting to solve coked fuel burning problem.

3. High temperature in the hearth could be controlled to make sure that temperature is enough high to do biomass pyrolysis gasification and complete combustion. With specially designed

   airflow spraying, tar will not be attached to the hearth after longtime combustion and pipes will not be blocked by the attached tar, it will do little effect on the boiler's efficiency after long                 time using, this is what users will neglect. Long-time energy saving is what matters.

4. As store is directly connected to the hearth, many biomass boilers catch fire easily. Applying anti-back fire structure and back-flow prevention device, so that only biomass fuel can be put  into hearth, high temperature airflow can't flow into bunker. We are equipped with safety fire protection device, even when the back-flow  prevention device fails, automatic monitoring feeding system will start to force high temperature into hearth. Boiler will stop working only after cleaning all the fuels.

5. Change the traditional boiler feeding way, decrease the feeding height of bunker, increase the capacity, reduce the labor strength.

the first thing to do is to see the heat balance diagram. you can size the boiler as per 5% higher than VWO condition or 10% higher than MCR condition. you can size the condensate pumps and boiler feed pumps taking margins on flows and check the flow and head at drum safety valve lift off condition.
Q:How the FSI (free swelling index) in thermal coal afect the boiler operation.?
FSI is A measure of the tendency of a coal to swell when heated under controlled conditions. Its interaction with boiler operations is summarized here: Coking coal is best if it has a very narrow range of volatility and plasticity. This is measured by the Free Swelling Index test. Tar content, volatile content and swelling index are used to select coals for coke blending. Volatility is also critical for steel making and power generation, as this determines the burn rate of the coal. High volatile content coals, while easy to ignite often are not as prized as moderately volatile coals; low volatile coal may be difficult to ignite although it will contain more energy per unit volume. The smelter must balance the volatile content of the coals to optimise the ease of ignition, burn rate, and energy output of the coal. Low ash, sulphur, and carbonate coals are prized for power generation because they do not produce much boiler slag and they do not require as much effort to scrub the flue gases to remove particulate matter. Carbonates are deleterious as they readily stick to the boiler apparatus. Sulphide contents are also deleterious in some fashion as this sulphur is emitted and can form smog, acid rain and haze pollution. Again, scrubbers on the flue gases aim to eliminate particulate and sulphur emissions.

Deaerator and flash vessel have totally different functions.. the deaerator removes NCGs (O2 particularly) in the feedwater while the flash vessel recovers steam from high pressure blowdown or condensates. Normally the economizer is integral to the boiler and feedwater from the feedwater pump goes to the economizer tubes and then to the to the boiler drum. Depending on the size and capacity of the economizer, the water entering the boiler drum is ideally near saturated. The near saturated water goes down the downcomer tubes where it picks up heat from the flue gas (then to the water drum or mud drum if your boiler is of bi-drum type, or to the water headers if your boiler is of single drum type) and goes up through the riser tubes and then to the steam drum again. In the riser tubes, the fluid is a mixture of steam and water. The steam is separated from the water in the steam drum. There is no sensor in the boiler tubes. The drum water level is measured using a level lauge, switch and/or transmitter. The choice of level instuments type depends upon the sophistication of your boiler. The quantity is usually according to applicable codes (i.e. ASME Sec 1). The drum level output manipulates the feedwater control valve and regulates the flow of the feedwater. To avoid problems caused by low water level in the drum, a low water level cut-off is usually provided which shuts down the burner/combustion system when this cut-off is reached.

All the basic questions: a) One or two-pipe distribution system? b) What did the contract say? Was it for the installation only, or was it for a complete system rework? c) Did the radiator problem exist prior to the new boiler installation? d) And, lastly, hot water or steam? Now, some potential answers: 1. A new boiler should make no difference in how heat is distributed - that is, unless your previous system was gravity and the new one uses a circulator. And if the latter, that will be a two-pipe system. In that case, there will be no need to balance. 2. If you have a two-pipe system, balancing consist mostly of making sure there are no air-locks in the system and that it is properly pressurized, and that the expansion tank is functioning correctly. 3. Which leads me to suspect that you have a single pipe system using inlet valves to determine radiator response. You may also have several zones with their own zone valves. Balancing these systems is very tricky such that demand temperatures (specific load on a specific radiator) can cause changes in how the system responds. And if there are multiple zones, if the demand on one zone changes that will also affect the entire system. Balancing that sort of system is both something of an art-form and typically not included in an installation contract unless requested in advance and specified in writing.
