Q:Its 14 degrees but absolutely chucking it down. She's an irish draught x TB. She's not clipped.
No. A horse prefers the rain above the sun. Our horse can walk in and out there stables if they want. It's a nice temperature in there. (its made with isolation between the plates). And they will stand outside in the rain, even when there is a storm. But as soon there is a Little bit of sun and there are flies they stand in the stable. Underneath a blanket they heating up their temperature for getting rid of the rain on their back. But the Warmth can't escape completely, and the water can't go away, cause above it's water prove so it can't go trough it. So putting a blanket on when they are already wet in the rain, with a temperature of this will make them only sick. and if it gets to bad, than you can put them inside in the stable. But Absolutely NO blanket cause they start to sweat for getting the water of them (imagine you being wet. And then putting a vest on, it won't be nice for you, and eventually you will sweat also...)
Q:What is the best way to clean stains on a seagrass rug? These are from a cat throwing up hairballs. We have tried water, Oxyclean, baking soda, carpet foaming cleaner...Any remedies would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
Sorry to tell yo uthat the stains are most likely permanent. Seagrass, by nature is a porous fiber. Hence the stains have penetrated the fibers in the rug, and have become inherent, just as a dye would. Your best chance would be to completely redye the rug. It may be cheaper however to buy another, and keep Puss N Boots in the other room.
Q:Hello, my cat keeps peeing on the rug in the laundry room. My mom has to wash the rug daily becasue she pees on it during the day. The rug is bigger with a rubber bottom,is that the problem? She also used to pee on the bathroom rug and it was little, with also a rubber bottom and we had to get rid of that rug.My mom hasnt taken her to the vet yet...does anyone have and easy and simple recipies to get her away from the rug? Thanks Taylor :)
Last year my beautiful Manx cat Theodore went out for the evening and never came back. I love cats and the house didn't feel the same without one, so I picked up Lola from a rescue centre. She was very frightened and would pee all over the house. I found Cat Spraying No More??? on the internet and the techniques worked almost immediately. I haven't had a problem with Lola since. Amazing! Can't stop your cat peeing in the house? Then worry no more...
Q:Suppose you want to install carpet in a room that measures 18ft x 20ft. The carpet you want costs $28.50/sq yard and comes only in rolls that are 12 feet wide and at least 100 ft long. If you only allow one seam (where the two pieces of carpet meet), what is the most efficient way to lay carpet and how much will the carpet cost?I keep getting that the total carpet will be = to 44 sq yards, and that will cost $1254, no matter what, you need to spend about $3800 on carpet. So there is no more efficient way to lay the carpet?
carpet area = (18*20)/9 = 40 sq yards and if an exact size was available, would cost $1140 but since you HAVE to buy a roll 12ft x 100 ft , the carpet will cost you $3800, as you have calculated
Q:My dog got ahold of one of my moms plants. I told her it was stupid to buy them while the dog was in the house. Anyways, the dog got ahold of the plant and drug it across the carpet, I tried vacuuming the carpet, but it just stained. How do I clean the carpet?!
Call a professional carpet cleaner, the bill goes to whoever allowed this animal in the home.
Q:I recently moved into my first apartment and its pretty nice except for the carpet in the living room. Its a kight green color and it's just full if stains. I would love to just put a new carpet in but thats not really practical because I'm just renting the place. It waould cost stanley steamers about $100 to clean it but this carpet is really old and stained. Would it even be worth that? I'm afraid I'm gonna spend the money and it's still gonna look gross
As a professional carpet cleaner this comes up a lot. Our policy is we will try a spot/stain or two (usually the worst) to give you an idea of what the carpet will turn out like. If you don't think it will turn out the way you like that's it we leave. No reputable carpet cleaner will guarantee a spot or stain will come out until they try, because they can't tell for sure until they try. A carpet cleaner can tell if some stains are likely to come out but cannot guarantee it. As an incentive to get your lanlord to pay for the carpet cleaning you can point out carpet cleaning is tax deductable for a landlord.(which is why mony landlords ask you for the reciept, for their files of course, if you get the carpets clean) but thats another story
Q:I'm looking for a bright color rug that would pop under my taupe sectional sofa, floor is wood and the walls are white. The curtain is a solid Navy color. What colors do you think would look nice. Also, should the rug go under the sectional, if so all the way or just be small enough to fit in front of it.
light blue or slate blue rug in front of sectional not under it
Q:OK, my pet pooped on the carpet, didn't notice it for awhile. It dried, I picked it up, vacuumed the carpet as well as I could, sprinkled a little (not too much) baking soda into the carpet and rubbed in it. Then I put diluted vinegar (half and half with water) in a container and soaked a paper towel, wrung it out and scrubbed the carpet with it. I didn't use a whole lot of vinegar, about half a cup solution (which would be 1/4 cup of water, 1/4 of water) for an area the size of a large cutting board.I plan on leaving it overnight and in the morning scrubbing it out with a bit of water - will the vinegar harm the carpet in the meantime or am I OK? Nothing was put sopping on the carpet - the paper towel was just damp.
I wouldn't leave it overnight. It should be fine with the treatment you already gave it.
Q:How come my carpet is Dirty, i vaccum twice a day, mop my Floor, I live in a old apt, on 2nd Floor. i shamboo my carpet twice a month, but i just dont understand because my carpet look clean but my feet is always black from the carpet.. do i need to throw and get new carpet or tiles?? my carpet is Brown (short).
carpet is disgusting. no matter how often you vacuum or shampoo your carpet it is dirty. you couldn't pay me to have carpet in my house. definitely get another type of flooring like tile or hardwood. i still never walk in my house without shoes or flip flops on, i hate for my feet to be or feel dirty.
Q:I have recently noticed that my cob's rug is rubbing slightly so I am going to buy her a Rug Bib to prevent this. She wears a 6'9 rug so what size would u recommend?
i would go for the large my friends horse wears xtra large and is an 16.2 irish draught so large will be fine
