Q: I'm looking to hang about door size carpet pieces on my closet walls [don't ask why] and was wondering a good adhesive to use or if I should just use nails?: Regular carpet adhesive that you trowel on will work. But It ll tear the wall all to Heck when you go to remove the carpet. Maybe some carpet tackless that you can nail to the top and let the carpet hang straight down? Other than that just some finish nails.. GL

Q: My Water Heater and flooded about 10 x 10 carpet area. What do i do? anyone have recommendation for those carpet cleaners rented at ACO, Home depot?: First, suck up the water either with a wet and dry vac or with the carpet cleaner. Then shampoo or clean the carpet. Then set up a fan blowing on the carpet. While you are at the Depot, get DampRid moisture absorption crystals and the DampRid Mold and Mildew Remover and Preventative. The absorption crystals come in a plastic tub, take the lid off and leave it in the center of the wet spot. It will take excess moisture out of the air and carpet to help it dry faster. Spray the area with the DampRid Mold and Mildew spray to kill any spores and prevent the mildew from growing in the carpet and padding. Keep the fan running for a couple of days or until you cannot place a terry towel over the spot, hop on it and have a wet spot on the towel. Good luck.
