Preferred choice is adhesion remover, it will the remove chewing gum with no trace.
Q: How big is a 8 x 12 rug?No rude answers please If your not going to help me thank you! :)
12 feet one way and 8 feet the other.
Q: EVerytime I sit on my carpet I get irritated and break out in small welts, actually it seems like my whole house makes me itch! what can this be..will shampooing my carpet help this situation out?
yes. carpets have lots of allergens in them You could also have fleas in the carpet. Keep your house very clean - dust and vacccum every week. See if this helps.
Q: What kind of handicraft is the Xinjiang rug?
Hetian is the hometown of Xinjiang carpets, and Xinjiang carpets are also called oriental carpets. The styles, patterns and colors are rich in national characteristics and local styles. The patterns are symmetrical and tidy, with fine lines and contrasting colors. There are carpets, tapestries, cushion blankets, mat mats, blankets and so on.
Q: The canister filter on (specifically, directly under) my 55 gallon sprung a leak, and in total has leaked 20+ gallons of nitrate-laden water onto the carpet around the stand. The canister is undergoing repairs ATM but the carpet is still soaked. Will I have to break down the aquarium and pull up the carpet, or can I keep mold from growing another way? Also, the canister was removed and will not be back up for at least a day, so how long can I keep my fish in there without an ammonia spike?
first of all search for the water line going into your water heater and close off the water and then call a plumber and performance them pop out they're going to guard something like checking for mildew and getting it treated considering that maximum plumbers have emergency amenities on p.c. dial. they're going to be waiting to restoration your complications immediately
Q: when every i take my cover off my horse it lets of static electric zaps. (you know like if you shuffle along the floor then tap some one and it lets of this zap) but its not small zaps they are very loud, you can hear them crackle from meters away if you move the cover, but they are also EXTREMELY painful!! (It left me with welts all up my arms!) i can hardly hold it because of this (it only dose it when i take it off) and im starting to worry if it may be hurting my horse as well as me, So how can i stop this? Thank You.:'DPS. obviously were in summer and because i live in Australia, the sun is a scorcher. could the sun be a reason why it dose this?
Wash it with a few dryer sheets. And wipe your horse down with dryer sheets too. It's not like there's something wrong with it, it's normal for that too happen. You just have to figure out how to deal with it.
Q: Can anyone give me some tips on how to get chocolate out of a beige carpet? I found a mysterious chocolate trail(most likely melty chocolate chips or Hershey's kisses) across my bedroom carpet. I don't really know how it got there-.-While we're on the subject...I also have a rather large shampoo stain(I didn't know shampoo STAINED carpet...but apparently it does?) and a some green nail polish spots on my floor. I know...I don't take very good care of my carpetgt;.lt;But it would be nice to have my floor looking a little fresher...Thanks in advance:)
Treating any carpet stain depends on what your carpet is made of. If it's wool or another natural fiber, it will be harder to treat these stains. If it's synthetic (most wall-to-wall carpet falls into this category), you may have an easier time. A diluted solution of brake cleaner, which contains the same chemicals that professional dry cleaning incorporates, will work to remove most food stains. This is a nasty chemical, and you have to consider whether you want the fumes in your house -- but it will do the job better than off-the-shelf carpet cleaning products. Whatever solvent you try, the method is to blot up as much of the stain as you can, wet it (with water or a cleaning solution), and blot some more. Don't rub, as this will abrade the carpet fibers and work the stain in deeper. I would try plain water on the shampoo stain before anything else. For the nail polish on the floor -- depends on what kind of floor surface you are talking about. You might try applying a non-acetone nail polish remover *just* to the polish spot, with a Q-tip. Avoid using an acetone-based remover (will damage almost any surface). If your floor is vinyl or laminate (engineered faux wood), you may have better luck trying to gently scrape it off with a table knife. Finally, if you have wall-to-wall carpeting, a professional carpet steaming service is a pretty good buy for the kind of results you get (and the work you save yourself). Consider spending a couple hundred bucks and skipping all the work. Good luck!
Q: How can I clean the carpet? Can I wash it with washing machine?
The washing machine can't wash the carpet. Because carpets and washing clothes are different, are generally more heavy, area and relatively large.
Q: My carpet has a mystery stain. It's very sticky and black and ground in. I have tried goo gown and soap and water. I need some sort of heavy duty carpet cleaning suggestions.
Hello, Adding soap to the sticky and black ground in mystery stain is just making it worse. You are adding a surfactant (Soap) that gets sticky when it dries. You need to find out if the stain is a oil ( like food dropped ) or sugars like soda pop. First thing you want to do is get rid of the soap residue. If you have a wet dry vac. Get club soda and pour it onto the stick black ground in mystery stain. Use a soft shoe brush and start brushing the stain. If it is turning foamy you have to get DEFOAMER. Spray it on the carpet till you do not get any foam on your brush. (It cuts soap bonds so you can get the soap residue off the carpet). Keep adding club soda. Extract the club soda from the carpet. The black and sticky should start to go away. You should be left with just the original stain, or it should be gone. If you have no foamy residue and it still is sticky you need a solvent because it is an oil based spot. I don't know where you live but if you look in your local yellow pages for Carpet Cleaning Supply stores you can get Defoamer and Solvents to clean the carpets. BE CAREFUL WITH THE SOLVENTS USE AS LITTLE OF THE SOLVENT AS POSSIBLE. IT CAN DELAMINATE THE CARPET IF YOU USE TOO MUCH. (seprate the carpet backing from the fiber) Solvents will desolve glue. Robert
Q: I used one of those machines to clean a rug and it's left it all streaky. I want to start again when it's dry and not using the machine..so can anyone tell me what carpet cleaner to use or has any tips or suggestions. Any help appreciated. How do you clean your rugs/carpets?
If your have the extractor you can still clean fairly good. I used to clean proffesionaly with a bonnet cleaner and extracter. If you don't have a bonnet cleaner then just spot treat the areas which are soiled the most. You can also take some laundry detergent and add a little to bucket of water. Add just enough till water feels slippery. Then go around and scrubb soiled areas with a hand brush, that are the worst. This is called spot treating. Then suck up these areas with the extractor. I think the streaky look is becaues of the way you pull the wand across the rug. You do however want the fibers to be lifted and not flat. This makes for a faster drying time. So pull back the wand the opposite way that the fibers lay causing them to stand up and look fluffy. If you go the other way it will cause it to look flat. Oh, and don't add boiling water to machine there are plastic parts and seals in machine which will be damaged by hot water. You can use hot water but not boiling...
