Q:my rugs curl when laying on the floor.is it the material, the traffic, the humidity, or a simple quantum explantion.
you know, i ask myself the same thing! lemme know when you get a good answer.
Q:i am looking into the future and looking at what i need to buy for a horse *so i can save up enough*right now i'm looking at rugs and saddles.. i have been looking on the horseland website (sells all horse stuff for outside aussies)and i have noticed that some saddles range from $300 - $800 *could never afford one over $1000* ... there doesnt seem to be much difference between them both...
I bought a saddle from a girl in the local Pony Club for $300. I have had it for three years and will probably have it for many more, it is in good condition. Buy a almost new used saddle and clean and condition it every so often. It will keep the leather soft and supple. And it will keep the saddle in better condition so it will last longer. For rugs, I would get a thick rug in the winter (well, actually, it depends how cold it gets there) and in the summer, you don't even need a rug. You could get a protective shett. It is like a rug that protects them from pests like flies and mosquitos. In the winter, I would just sponge it down and wait for him/her to cool down then put a cooler (a special blanket for a horse that has just worked hard). Later you can put a thicker blanket on, like when he is totally back to normal. In the summer I would do the same thing (put the cooler on) then put on the protective sheet or just nothing. My horse doesn't use a rug int the winter. I hope this helped you.
Q:My landlord recently replaced my nasty old carpet, but this new one isn't that great either. It got flat almost immediately, granted we also have kids, and I want to fluff it back up but I haven't been very successful. I sweep it after I vacuum so I can get it soft and fluffy but it takes ALOT of work and doesn't last for more than a couple of hours. Anybody know how to help?
Get a carpet rake ( sometimes it's called a carpet groomer ). You can buy them at the big box hardware stores. It is specially intended for fluffing up matted, flattened carpeting. It can also be used before vacuuming to get up imbedded dirt and hair ( both human and pet ).
Q:I put dark purple carpet in my room and painted my walls light purple. What color scheme can i change my room too. Im sick of it.
Unless you can change your carpet, you're stuck with using paint and fabric to change the scheme. If it's dark purple (almost black), you can go for a moody club vibe using stainless steel gray (walls, fabrics, etc). You can use an alternative color to add punch (indigo blue for example). For a more earthy quality, try using sage green and cream.
Q:The tar has been on the carpet for four months
try dawn dish soap.
Q:What kind of lotion does cleaning company use to clean the carpet? Will it do harm to human health?
Carpet cleaning agent. Generally will not hurt the health of the human body.
Q:I have carpeting in a room where I would like to install built-in bookshelves. How should I secure them to the floor? Do I need to remove the carpeting or can I set them on top?
I would really remove the carpet underneath them, put down a tack strip and re-kick the carpet to it and end it with a tidy roll. The major problem with putting them on top of the carpet is leveling. I have some built-ins in my office and library both on top of carpet. As the carpet and padding compresses, it changes the leveling. Also, there is a tack strip along the baseboards which causes the units to pitch forward because it doesn't compress. If I had to do it over, I would strip out the carpet underneath because I'm constantly checking the level as the house settles, too.
Q:Can you put an area rug on burber carpet?
Absolutely, one of the most cost effective ways to enhance your space on a small budget. Do's: Your accent rug must be totally different in color, but must have adequate tones that match your burber to a T. Area rug colors should match 2 of the following 3: - walls - furniture - drapes Our Den = light beige burber, and a Home Depot 5 x 7 rug that sits under the coffee table infront of the Sofa. Its a moss green outline, with light beige, rust, and black in it. It looks phenominal. Hint: Take your Credit card, and buy 6-10 rugs from Home depot / walmart, or wherever, and return the ones you don't like. The more rugs you bring home at once, the higher the odds are you'll find one that transforms your entire room.
Q:The carpet will go in a finished basement. The basement has bare concrete right now.
There is little that you have to do. Just ensure that the concrete surface is entirely dry.
Q:Does anyone know of any places in Detroit or areas around Detroit that sell carpets or rugs at wholesale or discount prices?
Mcnabb carpet in Milford also gibraltar trade center
