Q:I painted my room lime green and purple last weekend, and I got a big splotch of purple on my white carpet, any ideas on how to get it out?Thank you x3
Not any more. It's dried.
Q:i can't find any reviews on it. does anyone knows if its any good?
Rambo is a really high quality brand. Most things from them are really nice and durable.
Q:I have installed carpet by myself in two different rooms with nothing more than a razor blade. However, the room I intend to carpet next is a little bit larger and I will have to seam the carpet. I've never had to do that before. What equipment is absolutely necessary? Is doing the seam easy?
You will need a carpet iron. I don't suggest trying this yourself as it takes some practice and is easy to screw up.
Q:I have a 1 yr old Male, fixed, cat. He's never given me ANY problems. except lately he's been urinating on the bathroom rug.. Well, it sounds worse than it really is.. he did it once, then I washed the rug.. it was clean for a day.. then he peed on it once again. There are NO other cats in the house, the litter box IS in the bathroom. I can not scold him or correct the behavior because of the amount of time lapsed when he's gone on the rug. So he wouldn't know what he's being corrected for ( I was in Dog training) This is his only vice. :( Please help!
Once okorder / Hey moron stick that thumbs down where the sun dont shine! Over 18,000 times to be exact this has been asked!
Q:How to deal if shampoo is poured on the carpeton the back of the carpet how to deal with! ! !
When washing, use water absorption pure towel to scrub at the same time, and finally, using hair dryer cylinder to dry
Q:I'm looking for a giant rug for my dorm room next semester but I don't even know what kind of rug to look for. I want something incredibly soft but I don't have the money for something like these alpaca fur rugs I keep seeing. Does anyone know what types of rugs there are out there? The softer, the better! Thanks!
If you have a local carpet store maybe you could see if they have old sample carpet pieces that you could take for either free or really cheap and make them into a rug yourself. Backing shouldn't be too expensive, and you could actually apply it with caulk to make it more permanent.
Q:I would like to have it completely carpeted from wall to wall. How much will it cost me to buy the carpeting and have it installed professionally?
Use this calculator and go room by room to see exactly how much carpeting you need. Have at least 3 company's give you an estimate. Do not tell them you have the amount of yards of carpeting needed. This will give you an idea of how honest they are being. If you get a patterned carpet this calculator will not work. If you have pets get a padding that has a vapor barrier. Get the best padding you can afford. It supports you new carpeting. Home Depot in our area has a special for 99.00 to install your carpets. Then get you carpets cleaned every six month and it will last you for years.
Q:We live in a really modern apartment- it was once a warehouse and they developed them into apartments with exposed pipes and such. We just got some couches... they are destressed black so sometimes they look really dark brown in the light, but they are black. We have the original oak floors with all the scrapes and knots in the them. We have dark wood for all of our furniture. We are trying to figure out a color scheme for the living room and more importantly a rug that would go. Any advice would be great! It seems that all the colors we like have brown as the main color in the rug and we weren't sure if that would go.Thanks!
Open and airy can soon become dark and closed in if everything you put into a room is dark. There are plenty of rugs that have brown in them but aren't all brown. If the couches look brown work with that. Here's a link to look at rugs. Maybe find one you like and print a copy and put it up against the couch. Good luck!
Q:I am wanting to make a braided rug. I have done a lot of research and have patterns, know how to do a few different braids, etc. The trouble I am having is deciding what kind of material to use. I know most people use scraps. I have some old clothes I can cut up, but what material is best? I have mostly old cotton t-shirts. Would that work? Do jeans work? Or should I just buy some sort of material at the store? Any recommendations??
So far as I know, any fabric will do and I have seen all kinds used. However, my grandmother would go to an upholstery shop where she'd get scraps for free or near free. It is very tough fabric and those rugs lasted for many years.
Q:If I were to knit a throw rug, what size needles and what type of yarn would work best for the project?
It's not uncommon to knit a rug. A few patterns are below with their specifics for needle and yarn. Good luck with whatever you end up knitting. Happy Knitting! IndigoMuse
