Q: I have a NIMH battery pack that is a 4.8v 1600mah. I want to replace the cells but can't find any 400mah replacement cells. Can I safely upgrade the cells to say 900mah per cell for a total of 3600mah without harming anything. The volts will be the same, just not sure how high I can go. I'm assuming all I'll have to deal with is longer charging times and that the mah difference wont matter on anything else. Am i right?
As long as they fit, you can safely use new identical NiMH cells of higher capacity when rebuilding your pack. Don't use cells with a different chemistry, or mix new and old, or your charger may not be able to charge them correctly. You have correctly assumed that your charging and runtimes will be correspondingly longer. Chances are your original cells had 1600 mAH capacity each. 4 of them in series would make a 4.8 volt pack. The mAH stays the same in that case. Don
Q: I just bought a Canon 50D, and i've heard from many people on how long the first charge should be. I'm confused but do not want to try and end up spoiling the battery. Can somebody advise how long should the battery be charged for the first time?I've heard people telling me 2hrs is enough but some tell me its too short and you'll undercharge the battery.Others say you have to charge for at least 12 hours. Will this overcharge the battery and shorten its lifespan? Please help me!

Q: I got a rechargeable battery pack from five below and the thing just came with the battery pack its self and no opening for anything to go into it to charge it.and it doesnt even allow my controller to turn on how do i charge the batteries?
Just buy the USB charger one it's so much better to use
Q: Hi there, im building a solar car for the solar car challenge in my area, and im just wondering wat is the best way to hook the battery pack up to the solar panel and motor, also the best type of battery's, as i want the lightest possible, (its only an RC Solar Car) its 30W panel, and the battery's must not exceed 2VaH and must be solely used as a voltage regulator nothing elseneed more info just say so,thanks, schultzy
Depends which 7805 you are using and the current drawn from the regulator. The TO3 cased 3A shouldn't bat an eyelid, the TO220 case 1A one should manage with a moderate sized heatsink and the TO92 one would be hopelessly under rated even with a heatsink the size of the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier.
Q: I have a small motor that runs on 4 D cell batteries.I want to replace the power with something smaller and lighter but i cna't find any information on what to replace them with
Smaller lighter will mean less running time, if you go too small, you could start a fire. Bad idea.
Q: I have a red controller, I want to buy a new rechargeable batter pack. I bought the red controller like the week it came out, so I have used it a lot. Now I have to charge it like every 2-3 hours and that is getting pretty annoying. If anyone can help me find a place to buy a new one it is okay, if they don't sell what other colors would look good with the red. I think there is white, black, blue, and pink.
i bought mine at best buy and i don't think there's a red one but i bought two black ones (sold together) and they are great. I mean i can play for a couple days and they wont die. It also only takes an hour to fully charge both of them
Q: hii have a sony laptop and the battery is TERRIBLE lasting at most 30 mins. at uni and will use the laptop in lectures etc i will need to be able to use laptop without it being plugged in. i have been told that you can get external batteries that will last like 4 or so hours. does anyone recomend one?thanks
Change your power management profile, decrease the scren brightness, disable wifi if not using it.loads of things. Vista at full speed uses my battery in like 40/45 mins just sitting on the desktop, can stretch it out to like 3 hours at most. Google 4 an external battery if u really need one
Q: i currently have a dell inspiron 1545 laptop, i have been getting a message recently saying:Your battery can be charged normally, however it is coming to the end of its usable life.is it safe to buy a battery of a website, i.e: amazon, OKorder? do i install it - and how - (if you know) or should i take it to a computer shop?thank you. xx
Battery you just snap in and forget about it. It's just two catches from the bottom. As for the error message, battery tells the computer how old it is, and it appears yours has a recommended life. As the other guy said, update the BIOS and see if it goes away.
Q: Basically I bought some of these battery packs for my xbox controller:
Hey! I'm not an expert in the matter but I once bought a set of battery packs like these with the same recharge chords. It's just a regular USB cable input with a certain plug on the other end which appears to be purposely designed for these battery packs as I've never seen it before. Except maybe with some phones? You wouldn't be able to buy them seperate I wouldn't imagine unless you went to an electronics store, but if you'd like an extra spare battery pack with a new cable, these ones should be the same ones as your looking for: shop.OKorder .uk/i.html?_nkwxbox+recharge+cable_sacat0_odkwvenom+recharge+cable_osacat0_trksidp3286.c0.m270.l1313 I live in australia, but i'm assuming your from the UK, as the amazon link was .uk/ I hope i've helped, sorry for the long read. Cheers!
Q: But works when the regular batteries are used, or works when using the other rechargeable batter pack. Why?
humm. okorder
