Q: Hi everyone. I have a problem with my carpets. I recently bought a very nice, thin carpet. It is very detailed, thus it doesn't stay quot;flatquot;. It likes to move around and bulge. I have placed this carpet on another thick carpet. Now I need ideas to keep or stick my thin carpet on top of the thick one without damaging both of them. I dont want to glue or nail stuff done. Something quick and simple. Thanks everyone.: It likes to move around and bulge What you need is a carpet/rug non-slip gripper pad. You can find these in most department stores and Home Depot and Lowe's. It is a netting material you lay down under the rug. It will stop the rug from slipping. It comes in different sizes that can be trimmed to fit.

A 6 x 8 may be optimal for the dimensions of the room if it serves the scale of the furniture and the amount of furniture in the room.

Q: Should rugs only be used on wood floors?: Not tacky, but if you have elderly folks around, throw rugs are a definite tripping hazard.

Q: Why is there so much chromatism when producing multi color carpet: So different batches, because dyeing is ralated with the temperature and humidity of the air, the higher the humidity, the darker the color, the lower the temperature, the brighter the color

Most carpet comes in 12 and 15' wide rolls so you ll need extra to seam it together.So you can t go just by the 13x13 ( 169 s/f) of the room size. Q: Hi, I have a two and a half month old Pomeranian who coughs and sneezes only when in his potty training cage. Are dogs allergic to carpet fresh? Should I keep the dog up high away from the carpet? I clean the cage every day with doggie disinfectant so I don't think it's the cage.: He may be allergic to it or it may be too strong for him to breathe. I use clorex wipes and then spray lysol. Does great with mine. Just make sure you wait a little bit after you spray, before putting the dog in.

Q: I have a rug imported from Iran. It is made of wool on a silk backing. My cat was sick on it and some of the color ran—vermilion into cream color. It is a beautiful rug.: If the color ran, your rug was probably made with vegetable dyes rather than chemical dyes. Don't try to clean it yourself, you will make it worse! Q: Is one of the two supposed to be softer than the other? More durable? Easier to clean? I want a sisal type area rug. I thought the sisal would be softer and more pliant to the touch, but a decorator friend said the jute is what I want.I believe seagrass is the scratchy, bristle-y fiber, and I don't want that. Sisal - the strength and durability of natural fibers, Wool - the soft underfoot feel. Sisal wool rugs have the best of both worlds - durable and soft. Jute is also soft, one of the softest natural fiber rugs. I guess the best way to compare the textured feel is to go into a rug shop and feel the difference of the materials.
