- Q: I recently Hooked a newer Pioneer cd player up in my 00 mustang gt!.. it will not keep memory. The only way it will come on is when the red(power) is hooked up with the Yellow wire!.. but this way it will not hold a memory.. theres a few orange wires but i have hooked them up and it still wont keep memory? any suggestions?
- When wiring the Red and Yellow together, the radio will have constant power to it at all times. Try to rewire it so they aren't wired together so it doesn't keep on at all times, and as far as the memory issue, I suggest calling Pioneer, there could be a problem with the actual head unit.
- Q: I've started cutting wire and bending it into shapes to create animals or images, but the problem is, I need to know how to make each piece stick together without any glues as they make the art dulled and the metal looses its shine :/ any suggestions?
- If you were taking college sculpture class that required making sculptures of wire (as Idid) you would learn that you want to first try to figure out how to use one long piece and bend, or twist or encircle to get the shape you want. Nobody said this was easy - that was the problem we had tosolve without the use of metal glues, or soldering irons. The teacher advised us very little but did tellus to take a piece of board, either junk lying around, driftwood, or buy at one of the hobby stores those small placques in the wood section. Figure out what you want to make first, draw it if you can. Then figure out how big you want it and try to estimate how much wire you will need. With small nails, nail one end to the top side of the wood where you think you want to start. That would be the foot of a figure or the base of an abstract shape. Thenstart bending the wire to the shapes you want; remember that you dont have to make an exact reproduction of every line you have drawn. Ask yourself how you can make the illusion of a shape. When you have it pretty much how you want it, or have finished the other part of the bottom of the piece, cut the wire, then bend and shape it to be the last foot, and nail it to the board. Again, as Prof. Greene used to tell us - nobody said making art is easy. Art is hard work. I started by making small people. then an animal, then a tableau of several people in different poses. By the way, I made an A. a good book is: Start Sculpting Now! A good artist to research is Alexander Calder. This was his best work! Anothr good way to plan is to use the pencil in the Paintbox to draw it first on your computer - this willhelp you plan where to bend and twist to join in advance.
- Q: When I am wiring my sub to my amp, what gauge of wire should I use? The sub is 750 rms and the amp is 700 rms. And how do I wire a 2 ohm sub DVC to a 2 ohm stable amp?
- 12 gauge wire would be plenty to wire subs to an amplifier. A 2 ohm DVC sub is not a good match for a 2 ohm stable amplifier. Your wiring options on a 2ohm DVC sub are 1ohm, and 4 ohms. You need either a 1 ohm stable amplifier or a dual 4 ohm DVC sub.
- Q: me and my friend were doing a circuit challenge and we did the same circuit but she used thicker wires. does it make a difference?
- Well that depends upon your friends circuit. But, I can only add to what has already been said by saying this: - Using thick wires is traditionally associated with passing large currents in a circuit. However, if you use low voltages with thin pieces of wire (especially if it's long piece) then that can have a significant effect upon the circuit you are trying to supply. This is because the wire has resistance of its own that may well me nearly the same as that of the circuit you are trying to supply. All of which means that there may be a considerable voltage drop across the wire and less for the circuit you are trying to 'feed'. So, ironically, although thick wires are traditionally used for high current circuits they may also be found to in low voltage circuit passing very little current; the point being that we want a small a voltage drop as possible to appear across the wire. To illustate using a example, suppose that you are having a garden party or BBQ and decide to have some disco music outside. You set up the speakers outside while keeping the stereo in the house. You know that the voltages and currents are quite low so you think that more of the same cable that is already connected to the speakers would be fine. You run out the lengths to the speakers and switch on only to find that the volume is way too low even with the volume knob wound right up! What has happened? The resistance of the cable with the lengths that you are using is now comparable to the speaker impedance and this means that there is a voltage drop between the ends of the cable meaning less for your speakers. The solution is to use really thick cable, like mains cable capable of taking 10's of amps; it's not the current rating of the cable that you require but its low resistance.
- Q: I have a copper colored wire, a black wire, a red wire and white wire in the little box in the wall?? please help.
- You need a 3-way switch at each end and a 4-way switch in the middle also you need romax with 3 wires plus ground check out an electrical wiring book from the library or go look at one at Lowes or HD to see how they are wired If it is a new house get the electrician back to fix it If you have the proper switches sometimes two - two wire romax cab;es are run and one of the wires are ignored to give you the three wires
- Q: cat chewed two wires computer speaker wireand wii sensor bar wire well i can't just buy new ones or replace the wire so i need to reconnect them some how using insulated ferrules and electric tape and wire strippers any suggestions how to do this properly do i crimp them together with insulated ferrules or solder them together?what else can i do?i'm clueless how this worksneed help
- How To Reconnect Wires
- Q: Okay so my question is how would I wire these in a ported box with 2 terminals on each side of the box? Also, is the quot;Bridged Wirefeatured in the diagram negative speaker wire? Thanks.
- Bridging isn't something you do with the subs wiring. It's the way you wire them on the terminals. Each amp's manual should tell you which terminals are the bridgeable ones. That's a mono amp. There's not much you can do there with bridging etc..Try looking for a 2 channel bridgeable amp and then worry about wiring the subs. Not sure why you would want two terminals on both sides of the box anyway.
- Q: What's the metal wire fabric?Such as title
- Metal wire fabric not only has metal luster, and wear to trim visible, noble, gorgeous, and the fabric has the function of conductive shielding, which is widely used in scientific research, military and medical industries such as electronics, high-tech, high added value.Currently do men and women's windbreaker, jacket, jacket and jacket.
- Q: I need to buy some electrical wire for my car, does it matter what color the copper wire is inside of ( i.e. black, yellow, red, green, blue, etc.)
- The color of the wire indicates wire gage
