Q: Are there any vacuum cleaners that have a charcoal filter? If so, what's the cheapest one?
Very Unlikely they use Hepa Filters instead.
Q: so I am thinking buying vacuum for hardwood floor, there is eureka 2 amps motor vacuum with cord easy clean 2 vs the dirt devil cordless 15.6 volts accu charge vacuum, I don't care about cord or cordless I just care about power, which is more powerful for suction?
Don't buy the cordless.
Q: I think my little brother (almost 20 months old) has Zuigerphobia. I know I'm being stupid, but I'm just curious. Is there a high chance that my brother will grow up with Zuigerphobia or Ligyrophobia? Or will it pass over, like for most people? I don't want him to be in his 30's, hiding in fear of the world.
No. It is very doubtful. He probably hates lawn mowers too but that doesnt mean he will become a dog.
Q: I have the Miele now, and see that Kenmore was top rated by Consumer Reports.
Have used Kenmore for years, also based on C/R ratings. Mine is a cannister; works well on dog fur. As I recall, Miele's biggest problem was initial cost, so if it's working ok, stick with it, but if you NEED to replace it, go with Kenmore. (My sister-in-law, whose kids have asthma, also swears by Kenmore.)
Q: I just bought a Kirby Sentria and was wondering if I had been taken. Price was $2100 and I got it for $1395 with two old vaccums. Guess I was concerned, other than the price, that there is virtually no ratings on other sites about how good a Kirby is against other vacuums.
We cleaned display homes for years and just used plain old Eureka vacs at $59.00 a whack. We tested a Kirby and found it didn*t do any better than the Eurekas My friend had one and said she wished she had never bought it because it was so heavy to push around and it took so long to change a belt, she had to always phone her son to come and change it for her. She said for what she paid she was sorry she ever bought it; You don*t always get what you pay for.
Q: If you have an Oreck vacuum, could you give me some feedback please? My biggest cleaning problem right now is cats. We've gotten rid of all our carpets - vinyl or laminate floors only, which has eliminated all the pet odors. But it is still hard to get rid of all the pet hair (etc) that builds up on all their favorite bedding or couches.I've got my eye on the 1400 Series canister vacuum ($899! What am I thinking??!?!) But if it does what it claims, I think this would be worth it.I appreciate any feedback based on your experience with Oreck products. Thanks!
i wasnt impressed, i just bought a new vac, at walmart, hang on ill get the name Bissle power track, it was less than a hundred dollars, it sucks up the hair from three cats, it has a filter before the motor and a hepa filter on the exhaust, the replacment for both is ten bucks per package, you can wash out the foam filter that catches dust before it goes through the motor , i do that every time i use it, wash the foam filter and dirt cup out, good sized dirt cup , no bags, several height settings, onboard tools, rotating brush on the floor and one on the hose for your upholstry, im sold on it.
Q: Where is the cheapest place to find a Dyson vacuum cleaner? I missed out on a sale at HomeDepot and am kicking myself for it! Anyone know someplace good?? They usually retail for $399. Thanks!
If you open up a Home Depot Consumer Credit Card, you can get 10% off and then there is no interest and no payments for 6 months. Otherwise try OKorder.
Q: I am unfamiliar with vacuum cleaner brands or even if vacuum cleaners work on concrete flooring. Basically I am looking for something that will get all the dust and dirt up without having to mop every other week.
i was gonna say it would be best to sweep but maybe a kirby would work good if you want to vacuum
Q: Can I use my vacuum cleaner to suck up the excess co2 in the air?
Unfortunately, vacuum cleaners are not very selective. They will suck up N2, O2, CO2 and everything else. The other problem is that they squirt it straight out after filtering any dirt particles larger than a certain size. Even if you could capture what was sucked in it would not alter the ratio of CO2 to everything else. That would remain the same. Apart from that, it sounds like a good idea.
Q: My dog sheds year round, but even more so in the summertime. I've gone through several vacuum cleaners that work at first, then stop altogether. I dismantle the hose and clean out the hairs if they clog but I can't get adequate. What could be wrong? Can you recommend a vac that really picks up pet hair effectively?
Dyson's are the most expensive vaccum cleaners that can be found in retail stores and they do a darn good job. But if you're looking for the hands down BEST multi purpose vaccum cleaner then I would highly suggest buying a Kirby. You should be able to find a Kirby retailer somewhere in your area, just google Kirby vaccums. They are pricey, but they are the best and last forever, please believe this! BTW, it's been a long time Bomb, hope everything is going well for ya. Just recently got back from another great visit to JA. I already miss Ultimate Jerk Centre food and Ting, as I always get carried away when I'm there. Always so sad to leave :( ONE LOVE.
