- Q: I have speakers from the JVC unit SP-HXZ30, and I want to hook them up to my new Yamaha RXV367. The speakers have four wires each, how would I connect both speakers to the receiver?
- Depending on the type of recover you should have 4 posts sticking out for wires. You would connect the red from the speaker to the Red on the receiver and ditto with the black wire. Do this for the left speaker to the left output from the receiver and do the same for the right speaker. Then tweak your reiceiver to your liking, then again you can also just check the owners manual

- Q: I have a computer speakers with a subwoofer but for some reason my left speaker wont work the subwoofer works great ans so does my other speaker but not my left one then I put on my other pair of speakers which both work. And again no sound came from the left speaker. By the way the speakers are connected to the subwoofer. Is my subwoofer the problem how can I fix it
- You need to check one place before you go on. Plug your working speakers into the back of your computer. Do the speakers work? If the speakers work, then your sub-woofer is the problem. If the speaker does not work then your sound card or mother board is the problem. Check anywhere that you have sound properties and check the balance. If speakers work in back of your computer, there is a couple of things to do. Is the sub-woofer under warranty? Take it back to get it fixed or replaced. If not, here is the last step. Unplug any power source going to the sub-woofer. Next, gently loosen the screws holding the plate where the connections are located. Gently pull the plate out so you can look at the back of the plate. Is there any loose wire/s? If there is and you are good with your hands, you can re solder the wire/s back in place. If there is no loose wire/s, then the cross-over circuit is your problem. I hope this helps. Post additional info if something comes up.

- In the back deck they will be 6x9, 4 ohm speakers. The front speakers will probably be 6 rounds, 4 ohms. If you look in the trunk way up by the seat, you'll see the bottom of the speakers. Look on the magnets and there will be the wattage and impedance- 4 ohms, and probably 25 watts or more. If you want details on the type speakers and what it takes to change them, look in chilton's Auto Repair manual at the public library. Stock speakers will cost more than many aftermarket speakers, so if you intend to upgrade your speakers, go to a stereo store and audition speakers. Perhaps your owner's manual will give a few details about the stereo. That book is think, so don't let it scare you. If you want to know badly enough, check the index and read the section dealing with the stereo. Maybe you can just enjoy the stereo without having a list of pedigree.
- Q: I what to eliminate my front speakers and use a sound bar. I found a sound bar that pluges into my reciver with speaker wire and was wondering if this will eliminate my front side speakers.
- A sound bar is a speaker system that synthesizes surround sound. And, it usually contains a built-in amplifier that decodes the surround signals to send to the speakers in the sound bar to simulate a real surround system. So, it really wouldn't help you to have additional speakers besides the sound bar. In fact, the additional speakers, run off of the speakers B output for example, might actually lessen the surround effect of the sound bar by itself.

- Q: all of them but one are not working,i took out the speaker and but 2 others there to see if it was the speaker and it still didnt work, then i took out my radio and checked all the wires and nothing, i also noticed when i had the bare wired for the speaker out that when they touch metal all of my other speaker quit working and only my sub was working, what could i do
- That speaker is probably blown. If its a new speaker then its defective. When u touch the naked wires together and the other speakers shut off that's normal. That tells me that the speaker is getting power. So It can only be the speaker that is the problem.
