Q:Hi,I'm in the process of ordering a laptop from dell. I've got everything picked out, but one thing. Speakers.I don't want the thing if the sound is crappy. Experience from my sisters laptop. So, I'm looking into speakers. Pretty simple for everyone but me. Lol. Can I just use any old speakers? Or do I have to have notebook speakers? Thanks Belle :)
Any computer speaker will work, i personally like the bose or kplisch edit Normal house speakers are a bad idea as most are not magnetically shielded and may cause issues with laptop
Q:I have two big speakers that each have a two speakers inside of them with a total of four speakers with both big speakers. These speakers were originally TV sound system speakers, but I wanted to use them for my laptop. So I have their speaker wire in an amplifier and then I have the amplifier hooked up to my computer with a red and white cable to stereo output jack. When I play some music only the bottom speakers work, so that makes only two speakers out of four speakers working. I have also tested it on my iPod so I know that its not just my computer. So is it maybe a problem with my cable? Or are those two top speakers just blown? All my connections are good and I get good sound. Thanks for any answers in advance?
I am kind of shooting from the hip here; I could tell you more if I could see them so this is largely assumption. Firstly, it is doubtful that the speakers are blown. The likelihood that two identical speakers would go out at the same time is extremely low. Secondly, I believe that what you are referring two as a big speaker with little speakers inside of them are actually two three-way speakers. Now, a three-way speaker uses a tweeter to produce high-frequency sound, a woofer to produce mid-range frequencies, and a woofer to produce low frequencies (in a two-way speaker a single woofer produces the low and mid-range frequencies). Now, to the possible problem. From your description of your hook-ups, I find it a little suspect. It being that this configuration would cause the speakers to work the way they were designed. There is little you could do to resolve the problem short of finding another way to attach your speakers to your computer. Also, stereo outputs are rather old-school and were not intended to be used with even TV speakers. They simply do not have the capacity to transfer enough information to the speakers. Finally, the speakers may be rated TruSurround speakers. Which means that these speakers are designed to, albeit poorly, simulate a surround sound experience with just two speakers. If this were the case, then those top speakers will only work with inputs that exceed stereo. Because in a stereo setup, only two speakers function, the left and right fronts. The two top speakers on your TV speakers may be designed to reproduce the rear signals. Therefore, they simply have nothing to reproduce when attached to a stereo source.
Q:i want to add speakers to my 07 avalanche. it has 4 speakers and 2 tweeters. im adding a kenwood navi., but what soeakers should i add? thanks. alll answers appreciated.
Jamie I would stop by a place like circuit city. They carry and install all types of speakers and power ranges. They also have a great display so you can hear the speakers before you buy them. There quility and prices are also really good.Best of luck with your choise.
Q:Hello.I'd like to know how is that effect called, when the microphone input goes to speaker output and speaker output goes back to microphone, resulting in repeated amplification.Explanations why that happens or links appreciated, thanks.
You might have the software that's using the mic to pass through the speakers. So, anything you record will not only be saved to the hard disk or memory, but also come through the speakers as well. The feedback you get is a howling effect. Simply move the microphone further back from the speakers, and also turn the pass through feature off. In place of the speakers you can also use a temporary fix and put headphones in its place. This way you can hear what you're recording too.
Q:i have an 04' Maxima and tha speakers are ok but not tha loudest,, but i found out that one speaker(front left) wasnt working,, so i decided to go ahead n buy new door speakers thinkin that would fix tha problem and give me better speakers,, but i started installin with tha front left speaker n when it was all hooked up i tested it and it was REALLY soft,, all of tha other speaker seem to work fine but a couple times in tha middle of a song tha bass will seem to kick in for a breif second. Any ideas about what might b wrong??
Step 1: Check to make sure the balancefade settings are neutral or biased to that speaker. Step 2: Do a continuity check on the speaker wire between the head unit and the speaker ends. (disconnect both ends) I suspect you have a short in the wire somewhere. If you dont have a multimeter, first check by hooking up a different speaker. If the other speaker still doesnt work then replace the speaker wire from the head unit (dont worry about running behind the dash ect yet, just hook up the speaker to see if it works).
Q:I have a JVC R-x60 that i have 2 Sony 8 ohm tower speakers hooked up to but my left speaker is way louder than my right one. my balance is set at equal for both speakers and my wire going to each speaker is the same length, give or take a few inches. im clueless. any ideas?
I assume each tower has more than one woofer / tweeter. Possibly a wire to a woofer is loose. Listen to each woofer and tweeter to see if each one is working. I have no experience with your receiver but many have multiple ways to adjust sound. Check all your wires too. Good luck. Length of speaker wire is not your problem.
Q:Ever since I got my new computer, my speakers have been making noises that are fairly terrifying. I can only describe them as the sound you would get by beating a microphone with a wet towel, though maybe not as loud or dramatic. And occasionally I here beeps and boops like something out of a sci-fi movie. If you say this out loud you would be pretty close -- Boukkkkwakkkkkkkk beep beep beep boukkkkkkkk. Each episode of sound lasts a good 10 seconds then stops. Other than that my speakers have been working fine. I really only became worried when the beeps and boops started happenning. They make me think I'm being stalked by aliens or something. Any idea what these noises might be? Should I be worried? Should I run? Should I start wearing tin-foil hats? Anything?
you mean to assert, a buzzing sound is popping out from from the audio gadget? that is in basic terms the stereo jack that's hooked up from the sound output out of your pc. the floor cord grew to become into decrease by cord bending. you are able to replace it in basic terms in basic terms the jack and you are able to place in. observe that there are 3 rings spaced with 2 black plastic rings on the top, the 1st ring from the top is the two ideal or left channel additionally the 2d ring. and the final ring or the 0.33, is the floor.
Q:Speaker woofer what Q value is good
In the impedance characteristic curve of the loudspeaker unit, it indicates the sharpness of the impedance curve at the resonant frequency of the impedance curve, which reflects the damping state of the loudspeaker vibration system to a certain extent.
Q:and how good and ultimate speakers.
2 way speakers consist of a small woofer and tweeter! 3 way speakers consist of a small woofer, mid-range and then a tweeter! 3 way conponent speakers system give you the best sound!
Q:i was watching music videos on youtube and all of a sudden my speakers stopped working. I could hear only a low bass voice coming from the woofers. i can hear the song but only from the woofer. i don't know how this is possible. i can feel the sound waves coming from the woofer and can hear a low sound and i cannot hear from the 2 speakers i have. the speakers are connected and checked it twice. the volume isn't low. I don't hear any treble. just bass and no sound from the speakers. i haven't had this problem before. can anyone hep me?does this have anything to do with the sound card?cos i have had trouble with that before and all the sound from the computer would stop. can anyone help me please?thank you
Are the speakers 2-way (seperate tweeter woofer) with a seperate subwoofer? or one full range speaker with subwoofer? it could be the crossover (capacitor etc) in speaker system has blown or it could be your PC sound card has given up. Try another set of speakers or try disconnecting speakers from PC (usually 3.5mm stereo phono plug) connect to Ipod or MP3 player direct see if it sounds right.
