FAQ:
Q1: Are electronics cheap in Okorder.com?
A: Of course. They are very cheap. The factories provide the goods. One-stop sourcing.
Q2: Why are electronics so cheap in ok order?
A: On ok order they are the lowest price. Because it is a wholesale website and factory provide goods.
Q3: Do all electronics have silicon in them?
A: No but most modern ones do. Older electronics that don't require micro chips don't have to have silicon at all, and their mother boards are made from copper. Silicon is used in micro chips as a semi-conductor in modern electronics but some other semi-metals, like gallium and germanium can also be used. Silicon is just the most common because it is so plentiful.
- Q: I have a Mac computer,i just bought a Targus memory card reader from Wal-Mart.When i plug it into my mac a folder comes up that says No Name i have a 2GB memory card that i use for my cell phone, the Samsung Delve.when i click on the folder and things pop that say My ImagesMy Videos everything usual, but when i try to drag a pic into My Images it says it cant be modified, wtf? Please help.
- I believe that memory cards for mobile phones like the memory cards for digital cameras, require 'picture data' to be associated with each picture the enable the device (Phone or Camera) to handle the pictures in the phone or camera for displaying purposes. The picture files that you are trying to transfer to the memory card would not have that 'picture data' and therefore the phone or digital camera would not be able to handle those pictures. These phone and digital camera memory cards are I believe distinctly different to a Flash Memory stick which acts more like a Floppy Disk.
- Q: how does it work, and where would i get one? i know it has something to do with internet, just not exactly sure what it does.
- A smart card resembles a credit card in size and shape, but inside it is completely different. First of all, it has an inside -- a normal credit card is a simple piece of plastic. The inside of a smart card usually contains an embedded microprocessor. The microprocessor is under a gold contact pad on one side of the card. Think of the microprocessor as replacing the usual magnetic stripe on a credit card or debit card. Magnetic stripe technology remains in wide use in the United States. The microprocessor on the smart card is there for security. The host computer and card reader actually talk to the microprocessor. The microprocessor enforces access to the data on the card. If the host computer read and wrote the smart card's random access memory (RAM), it would be no different than a diskette. The most common smart card applications are: * Credit cards * Electronic cash * Computer security systems * Wireless communication * Loyalty systems (like frequent flyer points) * Banking * Satellite TV * Government identification Smart cards can be used with a smart-card reader attachment to a personal computer to authenticate a user. Web browsers also can use smart card technology to supplement Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for improved security of Internet transactions. Visa's Smart Card FAQ shows how online purchases work using a smart card and a PC equipped with a smart-card reader. Smart-card readers can also be found in mobile phones and vending machines.
- Q: I am like technologically challenged, and the laptop I want has a built in card reader. It is labeled 7 to 1. I dont know what that means, does that mean it will fit regular SanDisk SD cards???please help!!!
- A 7:1 card reader means a 7 in 1 card reader. It's one device that can read 7 different memory card formats. It's difficult to know what formats unless you read the specs, but SD cards are common enough that a multi-format card reader is very likely to support that format. I'd be very surprised if it didn't.
- Q: I want to develop a business card reader application on Android.
- Ok okorder
- Q: how can you fool this device to pass
- Funny that such a question is coming from a guy with the name Mohammed. No, you cannot fool an id card reader. These machines are specifically built to be tamper-proof. You are most certainly not going to find the expertise required to defeat such systems on YahooAnswers.
- Q: I just got a memory card reader for my computer because I erased my photos off of my camera and want to put them back on but. I can't find it well kinda it is removable disk F but it says to put in a disk. I just want to transfer it to my memory card. I can't find a website for the card reader. it is ohm.
- When it tells you to put in a disk, it means the card. If you can't get it to work, reboot your computer.
- Q: Earlier, I could just plug in my card reader into the computer, it would turn red, and I would be able to put my memory card in and be just fine. But now, it doesn't work anymore. There used to be a thing on My Computer that said Devices with Removable Storage that I could go to, and that's where I would look at my pictures. Now that option isn't there and whenever I plug in the card reader, it turns red for about one second, then beeps like it's not working. It acts like it's not even there! I don't know where the option Devices with Removable Storage went.PLEASE help!! Thanks :)

- Card readers frequently go on the fritz since they are so cheap, I would buy an external USB one if I were you so you can just toss it if it malfunctions. But if you have to just have an internal card reader, I would go with the temperature controlled one.
