It almost sounds as though you are asking about a manufacturing plant, so I will answer from that standpoint, This could be an Extremely long list, but I will limit it to major causes. lack of organization, both in personnel and materials inexperience improper equipment/under equipped lack of knowledge outside factors such as shipping/receiving

I know you need fuses for cars, electrical equipments, etc. I don't get what they are really used for?
Fuses are placed in the path of an electrical current as a fail-safe to prevent your equipment from frying. It is essentially a piece of metal that breaks when too much current is applied to it. What this does is stop the electrical current from getting to your radio/ECU and doing damage to it. Usually if a fuse has blown in your car it is a sign that something has failed and you should check the related system before simply replacing the fuse and repeating the process.
examples of electrical equipment in which insulators and conductors are used.and give reasons for their usethxthe one that answers will get 10 points
insulators are used on wires and places you don't want electricity to flow conductors are used in circuit boards and almost every electrical component. conductors are used to carry the flow of electricity.
I just got a cpu cooling system (fan/heat sinc) the fan stopped working, ive blown it out and it still will not work. I dont feel the need to replace a brand new fan. Any ideas as to what went wrong with it?
Because new electrical equipment can go bad, they have warranties. Have it replaced! When you reinstall it, do it with Arctic Silver 2 (or higher) heat compound. It will drop the CPU temp by 10C compared to white silicon compound.
I know that I need to get an oscilloscope and a power supply but is there something else that I should plan on getting?
Oscilloscopes are wonderful to have as are DMMs. It depends what sort of things you want to be doing. A soldering iron and fume extractor are pretty much a given. Good lighting perhaps a desk lamp magnifying glass. I also like to have music while I work but that's a personal thing. A small vice can be useful as can some sort of circuit board holder for when soldering but again it depends on what you are wanting to do at your bench. A rubbish bin comfortable chair are obvious but pretty essential. An antistatic mat or at least wrist strap are usually good for working with CMOS.
I'm considering buying an assortment of electrical equipment whilst on holiday in the US. Will they work in UK? Thanks in advance1) TV. Gut feeling is that the digi tuner (NTSC/PAL) will be different and its going to be a nightmare with the actual power.2) Nintendo DS. I think i will be ok on this one as games are not region enabled. Charger maybe an interesting one.3) Cable modem. No idea :) but i need a cable modem for home.4) is there such a thing as a DAB radio in the US? I saw some really strange radio setups but no DAB.5) Digital Video Camera. Makes to avoid for the change to UK?Thanks again for reading and taking time to reply.
Isn't it great us brits being so much richer than the americans two dollars to a pound the poor things. You're doing a really good thing buying from them it's like buying charity christmas cards gives you feeling of helping those less fortunate.
I cut a deal with my electrical shop teacher. If i tell him how we can relate an electrical class to ski lifts and snowmaking and learn about how they work and the electrical portion of them then hell take my shop to our local mountain Wachusett. Can anyone tell me how ski lifts and snowmaking equipment work and how i can relate it to electrical
Most ski lifts drive their cables from an electric motor. (This provides efficient torque control and emergency shut-down capability.) Snow making equipment uses electric drives for the water pumps and air compressors. (They make snow by freezing a sprayed water mist with the expansion cooling of the compressed air.)
