Q:I have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS that is stock, as in no aftermarket radio/electrical equipment and the fuse for the a/c and cruise. I noticed it popped when I bought the car and each time i put the same size fuse in or a bigger one, it automatically pops. I pulled the dash apart and all of the connections are good so I'm not sure of where to go.
Need to know which fuse exactly is blowing. Never EVER install a larger fuse, good way to melt the wires If the fuse blows when you turn on/off the A/C compressor, usually the diode is blown which shunts the voltage spike. some of those are inline near compressor while others will look like a fuse but black with an arrow on top of it
Q:If one of the two metal things on a electrical cord is larger than the other, but the holes in the outlet are the same size so it won't fit, is it okay to force it in?
the holes in the outlet are not the same size, they are slightly different also
Q:I am an electrical engineering student ,but I dont know what to do when I graduate. I like music and I want to do something with music. I have heard of audio/sound or acoustic engineering, but I don't know exactly what an audio/sound or acoustic engineer does.
You could build electronic music instruments and effects. Amplifiers are another domain were first class talent is needed. All of this sounds easy but wait until you try and you will find that none of it is.
Q:I don't understand how oil and gas industry has anything to do with electrical engineering jobs??Am I not seeing this because currently I am working as a electronics engineer ? This is how I am thinking about this - Oil and gas industry , digs up oil , provides it to our cars and trucks so they can run. Now I don't understand how or where Electrical engineers come into play into this ?? Please make me understand. I want to know.P.s: I am an entry level electronics engineer, with a degree in Electrical engineering , Currently I am located in Houston, texas.
This website will show you jobs in your discipline in the oil and gas industry. Take a good look at the descriptions to find out what the work could involve, and follow a trail on the internet to see where you could use your skills in your local area. You will need to think about travel at some point though, in this industry.
Q:considering that he is specialised in power engineering or does he administers them.
Turbine engines (either steam of fuel-injected) are mechanical parts and not electrical parts. A electrical engineer will be working on the generator that is attached to this systems. They will also work on the transmission of that power (Transformers and all that good stuff!).
Q:i want to make a bulb on and off at intervals of say half an hour. readymade timers available in shops(india) costs much and does not support shorter intervals like half an hour. any cheaper electronic circuit which can do this control? from where can i get the circuit or its diagram?
Depending on your skills, a CMOS 555 timer chip could probably drive a solid state switch (triac) for this interval although a more reliable timing, especially if you want exactly a 50% duty cycle, by feeding the timer output into a counter, so that the 555 cycles say 32 times (once a minute about) for each change of state of the selected output. Smaller cycle times are more stable.
Q:Are the different parts of an electrical distribution system connected in series or in parallel? Give the evidence. Give two reasons.
All equipment should get supply voltage same.So we have to connect all in parallel But to complete the circuit, we need Phase and neutral Bulbs, fans, washing machines, fridges are connected in parallel
Q:i was on the computer and now i feel empty?? im not mad sad i just was on the comp and i felt like this
I don't care what people say, electrical equipment and the energy such equipment gives off is not good for you. Take a few hours to go read a book, take a walk or even just a nap. Then, try limiting your time on the computer to as few hours as possible until you begin to feel better; it took me over a month to get back to 'normal' from a bout of computer-induced 'depression.' Good luck.
Q:I am 57 years old. MBA graduate with substantial experience in Electrical equipment maintenance. I have also experience in NDT.
