PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

White cement is the most widely used construction material in the world. It has built a reputation for serving the construction industry with high performance products that encourage creativity and ensure longevity.

RECOMMENDED FOR

It is recommended for general architectural applications, such as precast concrete,cast-in-place concrete, terrazzo, tile grout, portland cement paint, masonry units, swimming pools, glass fiber reinforced concrete, surface bonding mortars, ornamental statuary, floor tiles, concrete roof tiles, and concrete products, perimeter security, caststone pavers; and for traffic safety construction such as concrete median barriers, bridge parapets, guardrails, sound barrier walls, earth retaining walls, reflecting curbs and other delineators. White Portland Cement may be used as a base to produce vibrant and true colors prized in almost any architectural concrete application.

Q:if a ball was dropped on cement and an identical ball was dropped on stretchy rubber, which scenario would result in the most force acting on the ball?
impulse = change in momentum F delta(t) = m delta(v) dropped on cement the ball would essentially lose all its momentum and the time (t) would be very short so F would be high dropped on rubber assuming a good bounce back the change in momentum would be greater because the result would be going back up at some v so impulse is greater but time would also be longer and we would have to know the time it took to bounce on the rubber and the time it took to stop on the cement to make a comparison of forces generally speaking we might reasonably expect the rubber landing to involve less force because we can imagine the difference between jumping from a height onto concrete versus jumping onto a trampoline I would anticipate that the time of contact on the trampoline would be many, many times greater than the time it would take to stop when hitting the concrete. If someone gives you a good response, please consider giving a best answer. This is the only reward we get.
Q:I never used to be allergic to anything and then a few years ago developed an allergy to shell fish. Yesterday I was working with rubber cement for the first time and I had a major allergic reaction similar to the ones I would have after eating shrimp. Is there anything in rubber cement that would relate to shellfish? There is nothing printed on the label but it does warn of allergic reactions if you are allergic to latex gloves. Not sure if I am or not but maybe.....given this experience.

Q:We are having our bathroom remodeled at our apartment and while demolishing the walls and ceiling, powder like cement dusts have entered the walk-in closet and landed on our clothes. It looks as if we had a dust storm. Is it okay to just shake off the dusts and re-hang 'em? or do I need to wash them? The apartment is probably like more than 60 years old. I have no idea what they put in cements back in the days. :-(
They often used asbestos in cement products to make it more pliable and workable before it was prohibited as a additive. Those sparkly ceilings were about the worse offenders. Even if you have asbestos free dust, it isn't good to breath it. We aren't built to breath dust. When it gets in our lungs it often coats our insides. Usually it takes years to feel the effects. We have aleovea or air sacs that help in the gas exchange in our lungs. The dust can cause them to burst like balloons. The particles then fall down and destroy the next one. Finally you just suffocate. Smoking tobacco helps acerbate the problem. The dust needs to be removed. Watch the sunlight streaming in the windows. You will see little floaters called motes dancing on the beams. When you walk or move you will see an increase in their numbers. These are what is going into your lungs. Yes, take the clothes outside and beat the dust off them. Then wash them to remove the dust stuck to the fibers. Open the windows to help air out the dust that remains. The more dust that remains: the greater the risk to you. The dust is even more devastating to children. The younger they are the more lasting damage it can produce.
Q:How do you pronounce cement?
See-Meant
Q:explain
mortar is sand, cement and water used for brick/block laying,Concrete is a mixture of sand, cement and aggregate( stone/pebbles)and water used for making a base, foundation, footing for a wall etc etc, cement is the stuff which when water is added has a chemical reaction causing the mix to go hard
Q:gieve the perfect ratio separately for walls, concretes..
I would use gravel and sand. For a 1 cubic yard concrete mix, use the following: 600 lbs cement 1250 lbs gravel 1650 lbs sand 45 gallons water (about 375 lbs) If you have to use all sand, then just use a 5:1 ratio and use a water to cement ratio of about .6 (6 lbs water to 10 lbs cement) This will put you at about 3000 psi. Don't add too much water as your strength will drop a bunch. Easier way: Just call the local concrete batch plant and ask for 3000 psi concrete. I would also call a local engineering firm to send someone out to take some concrete samples to make sure you get what you ordered. It'll cost a couple hundred bucks for the concrete tests, but it's worth it if you are building a house which will cost tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Q:i am having a fence installed, i have quotes from 2 different contractors... one pounds the posts into the ground, the other cements each post into the ground, how deep either go i am not sure... but which way would be more secure long term? the posts are the same as used for a chain link fence (steel posts)... thanks
Depending on your climate you have to set the posts in concrete below the frost line.Post in concrete will last at least fifty years.
Q:dimension of a standard cement bag?
They have straps on them that are flexible and should be sat in your mortar bed every 900mm vertically ok.They secure the b/work so they won't collapse ok.If you start on concrete floor make sure and put a dampcourse under the first mortar bed.The brick size is 215mmx100mmx65mm.You could also use standard blocks 440mmx100mmx215mm again using the s/straps and same 1:4 sand and cement you would need 18 of those however when you reach the top assuming it's a standard door size you should have a 75mm gap fill this with 4 of the bricks with dimensions mentioned above ok.
Q:In the experiment of analysis of cement in labs, cement contains more chemical elements. now I like to estimate the amount of silica in cement. how?
well the answer is very simple........... you know i suppose that NaOH reacts with silica to give sodium silicate? and sodium silicate is basic in nature/....... so just take a sample of cement make a solution of it.... or maybe a suspension , weigh it and start adding NaOH until the indicator (phenolphthalein) changes colour..... the reaction is...... NaOH+SiO2---------->NaSiO3+H2O just balance the reaction and there you have your answer...........
Q:we have many cement silos in the factory and i am facing a problem in one of them filled with 100 ton of cement, one of the filter elements came out from the filter body and clogged the cement silo opening, is there any idea how to remove the filter element from the opening without loosing the cement
If you fit a valve to the opening and remove the bag through the open valve, then you can close the valve. You will need to check on the valve type
