- Yes, bench press and push ups do use the same muscles - chest, triceps, deltoids. In essence it is a very similar movement - pushing your arms away from yourself. It's hard to say why you aren't able to do push ups as well as bench press but nevertheless you can improve you srenght in push ups by doing them the easy way first. The easy way being - you in a push up position but your knees on the ground as this will make it a bit easier. I'd say complete as many reps as you can for 3-4 sets this should make you gradually stronger and you soon will be able to do more regular push ups.

- Rimmel has a great pressed, but I can't remember the name. Also, Sonia Kashuk at Target has the best powder I have ever used. It's all I use now. It's loose powder with a powder puff, but it goes on so much better than pressed. You can't notice the make up once it's applied.
