Q: Why would people buy Dyson cleaners when there are now 'copy cat' products that have also produced bagless vacuum cleaners? Is it because Dysons products are far far better still? Or does Dyson still have so many patents that they cannot copy him 100% and their products still differ?Or is it just brand loyalty e.g. you would still buy Coca Cola even if someone produced another Coke, with exactly the same recipeThanks (I am currently researching Engineers for Uni and so your answers all help)
I would never buy a bagless vacuum cleaner, and don't see why anyone would. The bag contains the mess, makes cleanup much easier. As far as I know, this brand cleaner has gotten poor reviews. .
Q: What's the difference between regular vacuum cleaners and water vacuum cleaners?
Question: What's the Difference Between a Vacuum and Carpet Steamer or Cleaner (If that's what you mean by water vacuums) Although some carpet steamers and cleaners do have a suction mechanism to remove the cleaning fluid and water from your carpet after cleaning the area, they should only be used for steaming or cleaning a carpet and never used as a vacuum cleaner. Answer: The term 'carpet cleaner' or shampooer used to relate to types of carpet cleaning appliances which did not have a water tank and cleaned using a cleaner in conjunction with brush action. The cleaning fluid actually stayed in the carpet to protect the fibers and was not removed, nor was any water applied. Today, the term generally means any appliance that is used to clean a carpet and carpet cleaners have changed considerably in the last few years. Today, most carpet cleaners are in fact steamers. Along with a liquid cleaning solution, hot water or steam is applied to the carpet. Brushes rotate to help lift the rug fibers and the water and solution is then extracted into a waste water reservoir that must be emptied. This allows carpets to be deep-cleaned and the water is then vacuumed by the same machine, allowing it to dry rather quickly.
Q: Are you scared of vacuum cleaners too?
No. The cats and dogs are afraid of the vacuum.
Q: I have a habit of asking weird questions, but I think it is interesting how different regions/areas of people have different ways of saying/naming things. For instance, where I'm from, we call vacuum cleaners 'sweepers' and apparently other people don't. And then there is the whole 'pop' and 'soda' difference (I stick with pop). Oh one last thing, would you call it making dinner or fixing dinner? Right, so this question is kind of vague-- but what phrases are odd to you when you visit a different area? I'm just exploring the language differences... so any discussion or anything would be interesting!
some are vernacular and others colloquialisms. In the Midwest you'd say making dinner. In the south or southwest, fixin' dinner. We called vacuum cleaners Hoovers since they were the most popular in the 1930's. Sweepers were usually made by Bissell, and were un-powered. Lunch was dinner, and dinner was supper in Oklahoma.
Q: I had a dyson vacuum it was terrible! it was heavy as hell and made of all cheap chinese plastic. I see oreck has some cheaper and more modern looking vacuums these days. Any serious opinions?
My Dyson vacuum cleaner was absolutely the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned! I had two cats, one of whom was a long-haired Maine Coon and I killed several vacuum cleaners trying to keep my house clean. The last one prior to the Dyson was a Kenmore that was in the shop every month due to clogging. It was always under warranty so it didn't cost me anything to get it fixed, but it kept breaking. One day, I was so fed up with the whole thing that I spent the money on a Dyson and never regretted it. When I moved overseas, I kept very few items . . . I kept the Dyson. It's in a storage unit, waiting to be used again. Sure, it's ugly, but it does the job like no other. Good luck on your search for a better one.
Q: I'm looking for a vacuum that is less than $200, Upright, bagless, HEPA, can clean pet hair, and reliable/durable. If you know any other vaccuum brand that fits into ALL of my requirements above, feel free to tell me. I did some research and narrowed my list down to two. So my questions are:1. Which one should I buy? 2. What are the pros and cons between the two?
BISSELL
Q: the problem of human and animals living together and the solution
Vacuum cleaners and lint rollers help with all the shedding.
Q: Is Kirby Vacuum Cleaners a scam?
PROBABLY! BUT --- Do I have 3 days to rescind my purchase of a Kirby Vacuum ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
Q: Every time I vacuum in my house, my dog comes running over, apparently all excited because I brought out the vacuum cleaner. But then if you bring it within 2 feet of her, she backs away. She always seems half afraid of it, half interested in it. I'm pretty sure a lot of dogs behave strangely when there's a vacuum cleaner around. But why?
It's probably the loud noise combined with the movement. After lots of training, my dog has finally learned to just stay away from it while it's on, instead of jumping in front of it and barking :)
Q: which one you chose of those two vacuum cleaners? and why?
The Eureka. Better suction.
