6.Conditions of use
Pumps used in the following conditions should be continuously to work properly:
1. For water pumps suitable medium, medium temperature shall not exceed + 40°C
2. The medium PH value between 6.5 ~ 8.5
3. The volume of medium containing solid impurity is less than 0.1%, the size is not more than 0.2 mm
4. The power frequency 50 hz, voltage for single-phase 220 v, 380 v, three-phase voltage fluctuation range for rating of 0.9 to 1.1 times
5. Diving depth of no more than 5 m, is not suitable for irrigation and drainage of sewage and chemicals.
- Q:I have a 1997 15hp Mercury 2-stroke outboard. When I run it it runs great and does what i want it to do. However, sometimes it doesn't pee. I can still hold my hand in the stream when it does but its very very hot. It always pees when i run the motor WOT but when im just chugging along it goes out for a bit and then comes back on. Is this supposed to happen? I was told by my dad that the thermostat regulates the pump so that it doesn't cool the engine down too much. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated
- Some Mercs only pee when the thermostat is open,especially the smaller ones.Trace the pee hose back to the engine.If it runs to the thermostat housing,it's one of those engines.
- Q:I have 2000 ford ranger v6 3.0 I replaced the water pump ten months ago and all of a sudden it's running hot it only runs hot when I stop for a second at a red light or stop sign. I changed the radiator today but still is running hot. - Check the 20 amp fuse under the hood that sends power to the relay. Also I have a 94 ranger and when I put the fuel pump in a few months back it blew that fuse.It blew because the pump was stuck.I had to take it out and wired to the battery 12 volt to get it to start and then reinstalled.Anyway check that fuse..

- Q:I have a 2000 Dodge Stratus and recently had the coolant drained (not quot;flushedquot;, as the mechanic wanted to charge $125 extra for that). Prior to that time I never had a single coolant leak, but since then, I've had the coolant leak out slowly over about a 2 week period of normal stop go traffic. Now the mechanic is saying the water pump is leaking, and that's going to be another $600+ more to fix (over 5 hrs of labor), which I really don't have the money for right now.So two questions.. 1) what could've happened to cause the water pump to suddenly start leaking only after the coolant was drained, when it was fine before that? and 2) should I try using a quot;Radiator Stop Leakproduct? I know people say they can plug up the whole radiator, but if that were the case 100% of the time, you'd think these products would've been made illegal a long time ago.SO realistically what are the chances of it doing more harm than good? I still plan on getting the water pump replaced, it'll just have to be awhile.
- No that crap plugs other little water ways that are needed to cool your engine. Things get old and it don't take much for them to start leaking. Changing this is not that difficult I would check out a couple more shops before thinking that would be the cost. Stay away from the dealers they charge the most.
- Q:My dad bought a boat this winter and when we got it we watched the guy winterize it. He was doing this white it was running on muffs. We got the boat to run today (on muffs) but no water was coming out the pee hole. This is the first boat we have owned. We are rookies. We also don't to take it to a dealer. - Not to worry.If it was pumping in the fall when it was winterized then the tell tail is probably plugged.This happens all the time.Over the winter spiders or something will crawl inside the hose and plug it.The easiest way to clean it is with compressed air.Just blow out the crap.When you have done this if it still will not pump water then you will need to have a new Impeller installed in the lower unit.I suggest that unless you are confident that you can do it yourself you have it done by a dealer because without water to cool the motor it will not last very long.
- Q:I replaced the water pump on my 1997 acura cl 3.0 v6 vtec. I set the timing how alldata said to. (Lined up marks on timing drive pulley and both cam pulleys) and put it all back together. Now when I start it the motor runs rough for about 45 seconds then it smooths out but won't rev past 3000 rpm. What are some possibilites it could be?
- Ive seen this before. u replaced the water pump, which means u drained the coolant, replaced the pump, and filled it back up again. When u filled it back up u created big air pockets in the coolant system. Small air pockets are always in the system, but wont cause a problem. Big air pockets cause the engine to idle rough, like its misfiring. Then when u go to press on the gas it stalls, or it wont rev past a certain point. Ive had this problem myself a few times, replacing water pumps and lower radiator hoses. About the best thing u can do is just let the car run and idle for an hour, maybe even 2! Then rev it when its still parked at a higher RPM, just to flush out those pesky air pockets. I know it wastes gas, but thats what i think the problem is. Air pockets are something that most ppl dont think about when they drain and refil the cooalnt components.

- There is no noise associated with a water pump going out that I am aware of other than the engine exploding due to excessive heat. The dash guages; especially the engine temp guage, will give you a clue as to a cooling problem, whcih is what the water pump is for. The water pump prevents the engine block from overheating. When the pump fails, the engine overheats and will either shut down, or the engine will burn out. The best way to tell is to monitor the temp guage. If the engine is running hot, it either the water pump, lack of water in the cooling system, or Thermostat failure. Best to have a mechanic check it out. Cheers!

- Yes, most certainly. Sounds like the mechanic knows what he or she is doing and the cost is reasonable. You'd be smart to get a coolant drain and refill after he installs the new pump. Antifreeze should be changed every 2 to 3 years at most.
