Pumps used in the following conditions should be continuously to work properly:
1. For water pumps suitable medium, medium temperature shall not exceed + 40°C
2. The medium PH value between 6.5 ~ 8.5
3. The volume of medium containing solid impurity is less than 0.1%, the size is not more than 0.2 mm

- Q: what size and what type water pump do i need?i am wanting to pump water from a river 345'-0 up hill at 45deg angle. i would like the water pump located at the cabin where the water dispursement would be. is there a pump that would allow me to do this. also, what size piping should i run from the river to the cabin. i can fabricate my own collection box at the river.any suggestions would be appreciated.

- Is it leaking from the center where the fan shaft comes thru? If so its toast and will have to be replaced. There is a seal there that goes bad sometimes and its too big to clog up. - To determine if it's the water system or the faucet, turn off the hot water supply valve and remove the supply line from the faucet (or remove it from the spigot on the wall and use a spare supply line). Turn the water on full and direct the water into a bucket to determine the flowrate (like you did earlier from the tap). Now repeat with the cold spigot. Did you get the same amount of water over the same amount of time (same flowrate)? If so, there's something wrong with the faucet, and it needs to be repaired or replaced. If not, you likely have some restriction in your hot water system, which could be the supply valve itself. Or it could be something anywhere from the water heater to that spigot. Next you would have to do something similar (measuring the flowrate) at various faucets in your house (including a bath/shower) to see if it's a house-wide problem or just local to that kitchen faucet. One thing that does happen in hot water systems is that debris from scale buildup in the water heater can be flushed out into the pipes and create restrictions in the valves that could affect flowrate.
- Q: My old pump burned up so i recently replaced it (with a refurbished pump) I have new pipe to the pump, new tank. my pump is a 1/2 hp 230v pump, I also replaced the control box. With my pump plugged in and the water coming straight out of the pipe bypassing the tank when I turn the power on I will get water for a minute or so then I won't get water for a minute. This will keep happening. I have checked the switch and when I quit getting water there is still power going to the pump. any suggestions or ideas? bad wiring or bad pump?...I know that there is water in thew well, the pump is located at 100 ft of a 115 ft well and i can see the water level about 10 ft underground.
- Immediately I would suspect the referbished pump is not working properly. Unfortunately you will have to take it out and test it under the same circumstances you describe, but complete the system so the pump has some pressure to work against. Just running the pump with minimal pressure might not reveal the problem. Under working load the pump might be over heating (just enough to open a bad coil) and cause it to shut down till the coil cooled and made temporary reconnection. Good luck. )
