Q: 1.5KW water pump caliber is 40, what is the flow rate?
Caliber 40 pumps, 1.5KW model IRG40-160A, flow 5.9 cubic meters, 28 meters per hour head
Q: There is no water at all! What can we do to troubleshoot this before calling a Plumber? This is the first time this has happened and we never had a well before. Please help (serious answers only)
Well, if you dn't have any water, it's not the water heater or the thermostat, it's got to be the pump. Has the circuit breaker tripped? You should check that before you call a plumber.
Q: I have a 2001 chevy malibu and need to know how to check if the water pump needs replaced. The engine has been running much hotter than normal and is leaking coolant.
Normally if the water pump is bad it will be leaking fluid from a little weep hole right under the pulley bearings. If you have fluid coming from there then yes it needs to be replaced.
Q: i hear water swirl in my dash board when i take off and when i reverse, i heard its the water pump pushing water through the heater core, but how can i fix it.?
Have radiator flush done. Low or air in system
Q: i want to hook a pressure booster pump to a well pump so i can have some pressure out of the well, is this doable?thanks!
If you connect two pumps in series and not parallel the pressure will increase but you need to have them connected so if the well stops running the other does also.
Q: 1988 fleet wood prowler 22HJust bought it, first time camper owner. I need a battery and a water pump. I only want to buy one, but don't want an overpriced pump. Preferably one I could find at a chain store locally. Can anyone recommend a good one? Also, is there anything I should know before I take my camper to a rv hook up site? I have a pressure regulator that will twist on my spicket on the outside of my camper. Do I need any other kind of regulator, or hose, besides my pump before I go hook up?Can I hookup without a pump? The pipe is capped off where the pump would go. Thanks!
If you are connected to a campsite water supply you do not need a pump. The pump is only required to deliver water from the fresh water tank of your camper to the faucets and if equipped toilet of your camper when you are not connected to City water, ya I know I have probably been connected to an actual City water supply 4 days in over 10 years of trailer camping... but any campground water supply is referred to as a city supply in the trailer literature. The only accessory I recommend to have is a combination filter which will stop both sediment ( very common in campground water lines ) and secondary charcoal filter which will reduce both taste and chemical intrusions on your system / palate. Would I buy a basic system demand pump? Yes, but if the cost of the pump stands between your camping season and your camping plans for the season, cancel the pump and camp!
Q: My water pump is sitting very close if not rubbing against the case. There were shavings and a groove. Would this cause it to knock? Also would this blow up the lower end? One more, Should it be in the center or offset twards the top?
it won't spin whilst you evaluate that's quickly geared to the crankshaft. turn the crankshaft - it is going to then spin. you may no longer eliminate the water pump without eliminating the grab conceal. eliminate the water pump shaft's protecting clip, to eliminate the water pump.
Q: I am replacing the water pump and want to know exactly where the two o-rings go
There are several rubber seals on a water pump. The biggest irregular shaped seal is obviously for the main portion of the pump (this can not be misinterpreted for something else). The next in size is the o-ring for the thermostat. And 2 additional O-rings (one smaller than the other) are for the return pipes. While removing/pulling out the pump, take care that the pipes do not get pulled outward by the pump. And when putting in the pump just gingerly align the pipes to the holes in the pump and you are good to go.
Q: We have 2 1995 E320's that are heating up way too high when running. One has been diagnosed at the repair shop for a malfunctioning fan clutch. They also said that as the car was running hot the water pump and thermostat should also be replaced (??) The water pump is 5.5 hours of labor and I cannot afford it right now. I was wondering how hard to replace it myself. Thanks
Contrary to the mythology, a Mercedes is just a car, and the cooling system isn't very different from any other car. Well within the ability of any good mechanic. Most likely causes of overheating are malfunctioning fans, either the clutch or the electric fans. Other likely suspects are the fan sensors, lower radiator hose and thermostat. Then consider a plugged radiator. The water pump is on the list, but way down. I think you should start with the obvious, cheaper stuff first. So basic
Q: Whats the difference between a faulty water pump and head gasket? The coolant reservoir has a quot;bubblingeffect when the car is running. I just changed the radiator and filled it. Most of whats in the radiator is water honestly. The car sounds a little rough and sputtery like a head gasket. The spark plugs are dry and I took the cover off and nothing looked watery or moisturous. I also had to change the head and head gasket a month ago. The head gasket didn't have any damage to it so I assumed the head was bad. I used a new head gasket also. Anything else I can check? The car is a 91 corolla.
If you had a faulty water pump, your car would overheat. Check to see what's blowing out of your exhaust pipe. If you have any smoke coming out of there WHILE you're driving, you have a faulty head gasket or it was installed improperly. Are you losing coolant? If so you might want to by a kit that can determine if you have a head gasket leaking or a cracked block or head. You also could have air in the system and need to bleed the cooling system.
