- Q: Hi guys: Can any one has an idea why my rear suspension raise up and some times it goes down and I feel I am sitting on a horse like there is no shocks in the back.I HAVE 2000 FORD EXPEDITION 5.4 4WD XLT with air suspension on it.Thanks in advance.
- My mom's 99 Epedition had this same problem/quirk with it. The air suspesion system turns on when the truck's computer says it's too low. You hear an air pump kick on and the rear will raise up slowly. If your system fails and you dont hear the pump.or you completely end up with no suspension riding on the rubber stoppers on the frame.you'll probably have to replace the airbag system with a normal coil spring system.which is what we did. Much less noise/irritation/stress.

- Q: Is stiff suspension better for street riding or soft?
- IMHO, torsion stiff is good and a little give in the vertical direction is good. By torsion stiff, I mean that you don't want the bottom bracket to move around on you. Carbon fiber frames are usually wooden feeling, but light and stiff. If you like that, then go that route. In my experience, titanium frames (yes, I know, expensive) have that nice classic steel feel, but have lateral stiffness that steel doesn't. So that's for frame material and design, but I'm assuming you're really talking about adjustable suspension. Stiff, definitely, unless you're going up and down stairs and stuff like that. On the mountain bike, I even over inflate the tires a little.
- Q: Under normal driving conditions how many miles should I expect to get from the stock run flat tires?
- once your taking a turn on a paved road if you go about 5 mph on a turn and lean slightley to that side you can pull off an easy turn. but on the other side if your going from dirt to pavement i would keep the bike steady ad go slow if you stay in 1st gear while turning on either theres no way your bike can die or go over turning speed. honda ride on.

- Q: i need to buld something to hold an egg that will protect it from a 2 story drop. it has to fit in an 8 x 8 box. there cannot be any motors in the project and im not using a parachute. i was thinking i should put it into some nutella spread,bubblr wrap, a build a bear,wall plaster, or even play do you tell me your ideas it has to be easy to make. thanks in advanced :]
- the first question is what is the criteria for success? If it is merely survival, then the solution is easy.A small block of styrofoam, hollowed out with peanut butter in it will work. a knee sock with sponges around the egg will also work. A plastic bottle with floam in it will also work. If the success criteria is also weight, accuracy and/or number of parts.you should put a little more thought in it.

- Had the same happen to my GM car. There are several things that can cause the compressor to keep running. A leaking o ring going from the air supply lines to the shocks and relays. A faulty leveling switch on the axle. My car came equipped with a switch in the trunk that you could press a button to inflate tires and inner tubes etc. If you have this switch in the trunk try to turn it to the off position. If this was turned on the compressor will run on bypass mode instead of raising the shocks up. I put my car in the garage and actually heard the air leaking out of one of the lines running to the shock and was able to fix it.

- Double wishbone? do you mean lasa( long arm short arm) it should work if you do it right. try it and let us know. LASA has been around a long time. 1950 G.M.??
- Q: soon enough ‘ll be buying my first car ((1990 nissan 240sx -fastback)). what kind of car mods should i get first to start sooping it up? i was thinking about getting a better exaust/intake system but im not sure
- it all costs too much money. i had a volvo and i trashed it. the lesson there being, even if you had a russian T-28 tank you will still cause damage to it beyond your wildest dream. if you broke your toys during your childhood, then a car is financially, a bad move the worst case scenario is you run over someone. you don't need that kind of thing ruining your life.
